A stay at Nelson Gay unveils six decades of charm and sophistication presented over 1.5 acres of mature and immaculately lush gardens. Located on a beautiful half-mile of beach on the outskirts of Speightstown, Barbados, its surrounding waters and reefs are a playground for swimmers and snorkelers.

Nelson Gay, a captivating Caribbean estate located on Barbados' serene west coast, presents an unparalleled fusion of historic allure and modern luxury. Set amidst two acres of verdant tropical gardens, this enchanting property offers an oasis of tranquility and indulgence.

The main residence, an impeccably restored coral stone villa dating back to the 18th century, features five spacious bedrooms, each exquisitely appointed with plush furnishings. Each bedroom room offers lovely views of the lush gardens or the azure Caribbean Sea.

This family-friendly villa has a bounty of restful spaces and formal or al fresco dining areas, including a delightful option to dine by candlelight. The dwelling features a predominantly white canvas—a compliment to the tropical landscape—and is accentuated with several unique pieces and antiques. The sleeping quarters are remarkably fresh and airy, with comfortable beds, quality cotton sheets, and hypoallergenic pillows.

Sip cocktails by the sea in the elegant garden gazebo, complete with a wet bar. Two covered terraces on the north and south wing bedrooms offer additional privacy and comfort, while on the seaside, guests can enjoy safe swimming and snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters. Enjoy family-friendly activities with an open-air gym and a pickleball court!

Further outside are three charming chattel houses and a guest cottage, all with en suite bathrooms as well, that can be rented for an additional cost to accommodate up to 18 guests.

The villa manager and their diligent staff are fully dedicated to your needs during your stay and will make your holiday truly relaxing, stress-free, and unforgettable with chef service. 3 meals per day, butler service for one butler and housekeeping service. All staffing is provided six days per week.

We had an amazing week at Nelson Gay! The house, the view, the service and the weather - all perfect! The monkeys were also one of the best parts of our day. Nelson Gay is the perfect vacation home for our 2 families. Very clean and well kept! Our meals were delicious and we only left the property once! Everything we needed was right here. Shanelle with Blue Sky was so pleasant to work with. We loved the NG staff- Tyrone, Shernelle, Angela, Ria, Kerry, and Fernando. The butler staff of Jaden and David spoilt us. They were friendly and attentive! We will miss them!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Nelson Gay. We were 8 women celebrating our 40th birthdays. The house is truly magical and welcoming. The staff took excellent care of us, and we came home feeling rested and restored. The meals prepared by Winston and Cassandra were healthy, fresh and delicious. The grounds are spectacular. We spend our days lounging in the sun switching between swimming in the lovely pool and the gorgeous sea. In the evening, we would enjoy cocktails by the sea, or perhaps a drink in the gazebo. The bedrooms are large, and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. We all had the most wonderful time and are already plotting our return to paradise! - Melissa Nelson Gay was an absolutely breathtaking experience. The house/grounds were spectacular, we didn't have to travel anywhere else on the island, everything was right there. The pool and beach were gorgeous and well maintained. The staff at NG were terrific. They were so friendly and every meal we ate at the house was delicious. The beds were so comfortable! I would come back to this house in a heartbeat!
