“The Manor House” historic home on 15 acres at Bran Manor Equine Sanctuary.
Historic Farmhouse sitting on 15 + acres of established and operational horse ranch and equine rescue where we’ve rescued over 460 horses. Just across the lane our spacious home full of country charm sits with 4 private bedrooms and 2 1/2 bath. We recently restored our 1890’s farmhouse while keeping to the original aesthetic as possible. With original wood pegged flooring, dutch doors, window seating overlooking green horse pastures. Large front, side, and back yards where you can bird/horse watch or enjoy the scenery. Our front porch with grill bodes well for entertaining or just sitting back with a hot cup of cocoa enjoying the views. We have a spacious eat in kitchen between the dining room and breakfast nook which is well equipped for plenty of cooking and baking! The stables are prohibited without a Bran Manor staffer as the barns are a separate entity from your home stay. We do offer assisted horseback riding, you may message us for pricing and information. Adjacent is an 18 hole golf course. Country living yet 5 minutes from the bypass to areas such as, Santander Arena, Goggleworks, Amish Country, Antique Row, farmers markets, road side stands, Brand name outlet shopping in Lancaster, sight and sound theater, Dutch Wonderland, Hershey Park, and much more. Please note: during the pandemic we have contact less check in ( as much as we like to meet our houseguests) and an enhanced cleaning protocol by WHO in place for everyone’s safety.

We loved our stay surrounded by beautiful horses and lovely pasture. Put family of 6 fit very comfortably into this lovely farmhouse. The only downside is that there is no grill and the oven is small. So if you like to cook a big meal, it can be challenging. Otherwise, we will definitely be booking this place again!
We had a great time, enough room for everyone. Thank you Miss Tru and Adrienne for a simple process and being very accommodating!!

The listing and the pics do not do the property justice! What a wonderful weekend getaway we had at Bran Manor! The house was comfortable, cozy, and full of charm and warmth. Beds were so comfortable! On Saturday, we enjoyed a tour of the stables and groomed the horses. It’s about 20 minutes to Koziar’s Christmas Village and about 50 minutes to Hershey - so great location! We will definitely stay again! Thanks for a wonderful experience!
We enjoyed our stay at the Manor so much. There were 5 adults and 2 children in our group. The weather put a damper on our visit but we were still able to enjoy the peace and the views around the home. The kids had their pony rides and we were able to meet all the horses they have saved.
The home is beautiful and well kept. Communication with the owner was SO easy and helpful. Highly recommend!
The thermostat the host recommended using on the “house rules” was not working. The house was cold when we got there (Heat was not on but very cold temperature outside) and the house did not go up in temperature. My mom’s hands turned purple sitting in the tv room where the thermostat is and we vacated. There was a must/moldy smell throughout the house. We had to vacate and find accommodations after midnight on Thanksgiving night due to this which was extremely inconvenient with an infant and elderly.

If you would have reached out to me while you were there I would have come over right away to show you how the zones work. The house has two separate zones for climate control. We see that you operated the one and the other side set at 62 which is where I leave it when it is vacant however, if you would have reached out, we would’ve loved to explain to turn the other side of the house above 62. I did offer to be there within 15 minutes to show you how to operate it correctly however you declined. You also declined my phone call when I try to reach out. There were also windows left open upstairs in the bathroom that would’ve definitely also contributed to the house being cold. Thankfully, I drove to the house at 1 AM to make sure everything was OK and secured the windows. If a house does not have heat, pipes would freeze so obviously there is heat. I also tried to explain that to your husband, but he was not receptive to anything other than complaining about a lamp and hanging up. I spent Thanksgiving away from family cleaning the house and preparing it for you because you are the boys aunt. Also, if you see my reviews online prior to your stay, after your stay, the last seven years we receive exemplar ratings. I am not sure where the anger comes from to leave a one for every category. I really would have appreciated an honest review on location, cleanliness, easy checkin and timeliness on communication. No good deed….
Our hosts are/were the best. The work they do with rescuing horses is outstanding. The house had all the comforts of home and exceptionally soft beds ;-)))). The kitchen was well-equipped. The area has many attractions. My wife and I enjoyed great food as well as antiquing and exploring quilt shops in "Pennsylvania Dutch Country." To sum up, super stay with super hosts and super area.
Loved the setting and watching the horses in the pastures every day. The home is beautiful - very cozy & comfortable and everything you need is right where you’d expect it to be. Tru and Adrienna are great hosts!
We had a wonderful time at this gorgeous, peaceful equine rescue. The house was spacious and well stocked; it easily held four adults and three kids. Our kids loved meeting all the horses, learning their stories and getting to gently interact with them. Adults loved the beautiful property with lots of space to relax. The area has multiple things for kids and adults to enjoy - we went apple picking, did a corn maze and visited Dutch Wonderland. Tanger Outlets are not far, either. Tru was a terrific host with great suggestions for activities. We will definitely be back!
It's a beautifully decorated and spacious home. There was plenty of room for our group of 10 to spread out. We did a tour of the Equine Rescue and pony rides for the kids which everyone enjoyed!
We had a wonderful time. The property was amazing! The house was charming. Wonderful communication right from when we booked. We had a wonderful holiday! We also learned so much about horses that we did not know before. Our daughter LOVED seeing them and riding as well.
Hi, Tru and Adrienna and Equine family.
My family and I had an awesome time at your establishment. We (7 of us) range in age from 18-74 and all of us really enjoyed ourselves. The Manor house and Bran Manor stables and Equine rescue were beautiful. We really enjoyed the tour of the stables and rescue. Tru your knowledge and dedication to the rescue is amazing. Tru and Adrienna were so helpful in making sure we had everything that we needed for our stay. Adrienna decorated the house so nicely with a mix of rustic and modern charm. Everything needed to make a nice homecooked meal was available to us. They also in formed us of local things to do in the area and the best places to get some very good food while we were out and about. They also had a great place called Paparone's that delivered to the house and their food was amazing. We had a great time and look forward to returning.
Beautiful, well kept old home with tons of character. Beautifully designed, large bedrooms, well stocked kitchen. You seriously just feel the stress melt away. The house is directly across from the horse barn which in itself is absolutely charming.
Would absolutely love to stay here again, next time only longer!!
We had a wonderful weekend stay here with extended family. The hosts are wonderful and we highly recommend touring the Manor Stables. 5-Stars all around! Thank you, Arienna & Tru!
Our visit to The Manor House was everything we wanted it to be and so much more! We travelled here from the west coast to visit with family, and we could not have asked for a more comfortable and relaxed environment to chill and hang out in. The property is absolutely gorgeous, serene and peaceful. There are horses everywhere! They're frolicking in the five pastures all around us for most of the day, and even later in the day and evening when they're settled into the amazing and beautiful stable area, they have windows that some of them poke their heads out of, so we could literally relax on the porch all evening and still see some horses!
The Manor House itself is amazing! It's huge! There are so many rooms to explore! Our group of 9 spread out everywhere and had a blast hanging in the huge kitchen around the island, having drinks in the formal dining room and bar area, and watching movies and playing board games in the great room. Every room is decorated exquisitely - we were there for 5 days and I was still seeing decorations for the first time! Everything in the home was beyond clean and comfortable. The linens and towels were fresh, clean and plentiful - as were the dishes and glasses. The bar area was awesome to set up our wine and all of the stemware we needed was right there. And the pantry had some good basics, which was great because we had forgotten to pick up sugar, salt and pepper. The AC units kept the home very cool and comfortable. We literally parked ourselves on the front porch and never got tired of looking at the beautiful scenery. There was plenty of room for all of us to settle in and be comfortable! During the day we'd watch the horses grazing and there was even a baby girl that was just a few weeks old running around and testing her mama's patience! We never got tired of watching them interact together!
Adrienna and Tru were the perfect hosts! They were extremely communicative and made sure that we had everything we needed for the arrival, stay and departure. Anyone that stays at the Manor House MUST take the tour with Tru! Our group had the best time taking a tour of the stables and learning all about the Manor House and the history/mission of the rescue. We loved learning that our stay supported such an important cause. The horseback riding around the pasture was super fun as well! It was great to see our hosts and their staff working with the horses during the day. We will definitely return to The Manor House!
This is such a cozy place to get away! The hosts were unbelievable and so accommodating and responsive! Adrienna truly has an eye for detail and design! The house was beautiful and super cozy!! Waking up in the morning to a blanket of perfectly white snow and horses grazing quietly right outside the window was amazing! The riding and grooming was an incredible experience, and the rescue is truly something to admire! You guys are doing some incredible work! Can't wait to visit again!
We really enjoyed our time at Manor House. The house is spacious, comfortable, and clean. Several pastures (usually filled with horses) surround the house which makes for a wonderful outdoor environment. Nice parks nearby as well. Communication with the hosts was excellent. Hope to come back again soon.
Eight of us stayed comfortably at the farm house for 10 days. The property made for a gorgeous fall get-away, including festive fall decorations around the home. The farm house is adorable and very authentic with lots of seating. The bathrooms are a little outdated, but that is completely overshadowed by the charm of the rest of the house. Tru was a great host, who provided us with a lot of suggestions for things to do. Not only do you get the experience of staying on a horse farm, but it’s rewarding to know your stay contributes to the care of the precious horses at this rescue. What could be better than that!?! Thanks to Tru and the rescue volunteers for the wonderful memories!
The Manor House is in a lovely scenic area and the house is spacious and welcoming (and very well decorated!) We had a wonderful time there for the weekend!
Thank you so much for a great holiday experience. This by far exceeded my expectations. The horses are so sweet and the kids and adults 😉loved it. It was a short drive to Koziar Christmas Village. Topped off the weekend.
I visited with my family including two young children and overseas guests. The property was wonderful and well kept. Located on a working horse rescue we woke to fields of horses all around. Tru and Adrianna were wonderful hosts who helped us with the property, food recommendations and riding lessons. The whole family enjoyed wonderful riding experiences arranged by Tru. We look forward to coming back!! Thank you.
Our family was in the Reading area for a family wedding. We had three generations staying at your beautiful home! The children, ages eight and five, had a wonderful time taking horseback riding lessons. Everyone was friendly at the stable and on the phone with our questions about the house.
Thank you for everything!
Stayed with 5 children for 1.5 days.
All had an amazing time.
House & property clean & nice.
Kids had fun with horses & a great time overall
And most of Tru is a great host helpful, available, and super accommodating (we checked in at 1am !!)
Thx
We’ll be back
We (two families of young kids) enjoyed everything the property offered. The kids love the pony riding experiences and hanging out every morning to watch the horses and playing games on the acres of lands. Special thanks to Tru who made our stay smooth and pleasant in all possible ways. Super responsive to texts (even at night). She is so good with little kids being a retired teacher herself. Couldn't recommend more about this property for family gatherings and vacation.
