About this property

Cliffside Cabin above Piney Falls - with Creek Access and Amazing Views

Perched high on a cliff, this unique 1-bed, 1-bath cabin offers breathtaking views of the creek below. From the back deck, unwind to the sound of cascading falls.

You’ll have access to 2 additional decks - 1 up on the cliff & 1 down near the creek, nestled among towering rock walls. Each features its own firepit & torches, perfect for cozy evenings under the stars.

A staircase winds through rock formations, leading to the crystal-clear creek below, where you can swim, fish, kayak, or explore.

THE PROPERTY

Set high above Piney Creek, this cozy cabin combines rustic charm with quiet comfort — the perfect place to slow down and reconnect with nature.

Out back, the covered deck offers plenty of comfortable seating and an electric grill — all overlooking the creek, with the soothing sound of the waterfall below. Facing west, it’s the perfect spot to watch the sun slip behind the hills and paint the sky in color. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, hawks, and blue herons that often glide by.

The covered front porch, with its swing and handcrafted log furniture, invites you to linger over morning coffee or watch the forest wake.

Inside, hardwood floors, warm wood walls, and a wood-burning stove create a cozy, cabin feel. A TV and Wi-Fi offer modern touches without taking away from the tranquility.

Just steps from the cabin, a private fire ring awaits for starlit evenings and glowing campfires.

GUEST ACCESS

Further down the path, just past your private fire ring, you’ll find an additional open deck perched on the cliff’s edge, overlooking the creek and surrounding hills. Complete with a gas firepit and tiki torches, it’s a captivating spot to relax and take in the views.

From there, a winding staircase leads through a natural opening in the rock down to the lower deck, nestled among towering cliff walls. Here, you’ll find more tiki torches and another gas firepit, with peaceful views of the water. It’s an enchanting, almost otherworldly spot to truly get away from it all. A final set of steps leads down to Piney Creek itself.

We invite you to light the fires and soak in the atmosphere—it’s a truly special place, day or night.

A Note on the Shared Spaces: Please note that these additional decks, and the creek access, are shared with us as the owners. While it isn’t unusual to see us or others enjoying these areas from time to time, we want you to feel completely at home; you are always welcome to access the creek and enjoy the decks, even if we are already there. We love sharing this beautiful property and never want you to feel like you can’t join in! There's plenty of space for everyone.

That said, we are always mindful of your stay and will limit our time there to ensure you also have plenty of private, undisturbed access to the creek and decks to enjoy on your own during your visit.

You are more than welcome to use the kayaks if you’d like to explore the creek! It’s a wonderful spot for kayaking, swimming, and fishing. Please just keep in mind that use of the kayaks and the creek is at your own risk.

OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE

Our cabin offers a wonderful sense of peace and privacy, though we want to be clear that it is not isolated deep in the woods. It is located within a small subdivision of 3–6 acre parcels where homes are mostly built along the creek. Because of this, a neighboring property is visible as you approach the cabin and can be seen from one window (primarily in the winter months before the foliage returns).

However, the cabin feels tucked away where it matters most: the cabin's back deck overlooking the water is all yours, and offers a great sense of solitude. The lower decks and creek access areas are completely secluded with no properties in sight.

We live on acreage adjacent to the property in the barndominium you’ll pass as you arrive. Our home is built away from the creek and is not visible from the cabin, so you will have plenty of space to yourselves. That said, if you need anything during your stay, we’re close by and happy to help!

About the host

Host profile image
My husband and I are total travel junkies - always chasing the next stamp in our passports. We've visited 45+ US states and over 20 countries, and we have countless more adventures ahead.

We’ve called many places home over the years - from our home state of Montana to Utah, Texas, Ohio, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Nevada, and internationally to Mexico, St. Lucia, and the Dominican Republic.

Currently, it's the beauty and charm of Arkansas that has truly surprised and captured us!

We have a deep love for the outdoors and spend as much time as possible in the water - whether we are kayaking down the creek or enjoying a quiet afternoon swim. As a professional photographer, I have a passion for capturing the beauty of new landscapes, but I find myself constantly drawn back to the unique, colorful rock cliffs and the shifting light right here at home.

For us, being hosts is incredibly rewarding. There is a certain kind of joy in opening this piece of paradise to others. We love sharing our home with guests who truly appreciate the 'magic' of the cabin, the cliffs, the falls, and the creek. Our goal is to help you create memories that are just as special as the view!

Why they chose this property

If you’ve ever wanted to live inside a Hallmark card, this is the place. Our cabin sits high above the falls, offering a storybook scene with a front-row seat to the incredible sights and sounds of rushing water.

What I enjoy most about this neighborhood is the 'hidden gem' feel. We are perched on Piney Creek, a truly special waterway known for its crystal-clear water - perfect for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. The landscape is framed by breathtaking rock cliffs that create a sense of total immersion in nature. It is a rare combination of adventure and tranquility; you can spend your day exploring the water and your evenings relaxing to the soothing melody of the falls. It truly is a place where the pace of life slows down.

What makes this property unique

Our cabin offers a rare blend of cozy, 'picture-perfect' charm and rugged, otherworldly beauty. Inside, you are wrapped in the warmth of natural wood finishes and the glow of a wood-burning stove, creating the ultimate retreat.

However, it is the outdoor experience that truly sets this property apart:

Spectacular Views, Sunsets, & Sounds:
The back deck offers panoramic views overlooking the creek, the falls, and the mountains. The sunsets from this vantage point are truly incredible, and because the cabin sits directly above the water, you are constantly surrounded by the soothing, powerful sounds of the falls. It is a prime spot for nature lovers—keep your eyes peeled for eagles and herons soaring through the canyon.

The Descent through the Cliffs:
One of the most unique features of the property is the staircase that winds directly through a crack in the towering rock cliff walls to reach the water. It feels like entering a hidden, magical world as you descend toward the creek.

A 'Medieval' Evening Scene:
We’ve designed the property to be just as enchanting at night. The experience begins at the top of the staircase with a torch-lit deck, and the flickering tiki torches continue all the way down the cliffside stairs to the deck by the water's edge. With the fire glowing against the stone walls, the atmosphere is almost medieval - the perfect setting for relaxing near the creek under the stars.

Pristine Creek Access:
Once you navigate the cliffside stairs, you are met with the famous crystal-clear waters of Piney Creek. We provide complimentary kayaks for our guests, making it easy to launch your craft, cast a line, or simply take a refreshing dip in the deep pools. It offers a private connection to the water that feels worlds away from the everyday.

Whether you are seeking the cozy comfort of a mountain cabin or the 'magic' of a cliffside adventure, this property offers a scene you won't find anywhere else.
