Warmer months bring golf, hiking, and scenic drives, while nearby attractions offer fun for all ages. Take a thrilling ride through the trees at Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, just 7 minutes away, or explore downtown Banner Elk—less than 6 miles away—for local dining, shopping, and events at Lees-McRae College. Sip wine and enjoy live music year-round at Grandfather Winery, only 7 miles away, or visit Grandfather Mountain and the iconic Mile High Swinging Bridge, just 9 miles from the cabin. Dancing Bear features a classic log cabin design with wood flooring, vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, and a bright, open main floor. The living room is centered around a gas log fireplace, TV, and comfortable leather sofas—perfect for cozy evenings after a day of adventure. The spacious kitchen is well-appointed with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and ample prep space. The adjacent dining area is surrounded by windows, bringing the mountain scenery indoors. Step outside onto the large covered main-level deck, complete with a gas grill and comfortable seating, where you can relax and take in the beautiful mountain views.
