About this property

Banner Elk is open and welcoming guests! Cabin has no storm damage!

BANNER CREEK CABIN is a three bedroom/two bath cabin located in Banner Elk between Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain. The cabin can accommodate up to seven people comfortably.

Our home features SkyBest TV and wireless fiber high speed internet. Large Screen TV with Roku and a smart BlueRay player in the living room. We also have a flat screen TV with Roku and cable TV (YouTube TV) in the master and both lower bedrooms. Our home has an abundant array of family games indoors and out.

The outside fire pit is the perfect spot for roasting s’mores or use the lawn for a great game of bocce or corn hole. The 7 person salt water hot tub on the back porch is a great spot to ease those tired muscles after a day of hiking or skiing.

The main floor consists of an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen. The living room includes a gas fireplace, large flat panel TV, large antique chest full of family games, comfy leather sofas to curl up in after a long day of hiking or snowboarding. The dining room table seats 6, with additional seating at the kitchen island. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything guests need to prepare a meal (minus the food!)
Down the hall from the main living area are located two bedrooms and one bath. One bedroom has two iron twin beds, a day bed and antique furnishings and paintings. The back bedroom has a queen size bed. The downstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combo and a washer/dryer. All linens and towels are provided.
The master bedroom is on the second floor. There is a king size bed furnished with luxury linens, large closet and master bath. The master bedroom has a private deck with amazing seasonal views of Grandfather Mountain. The deck is a great place to kick back with a glass of wine and a book. A single serve coffee maker makes that morning cup in bed only a few steps away.
Enjoy the front porch which has two rocking chairs or guests can also enjoy the back deck, off of the dining room, which has two rocking chairs, a picnic table and a gas grill in addition to the hot tub. Don’t forget the fire pit! No matter the weather, a fire is always enjoyable. Firewood and starters all provided. Take a stroll through our yard and come upon your very own flowing stream. Grab a chair, refreshing glass of (insert your own beverage choice!) and kick back to the soothing sound of the stream.
The cabin is equipped with 2 sets of golf clubs for your use.

We are both NC natives with a love of all that NC has to offer. Our full time residence is at the coast, but we are super excited to now have a mountain getaway as well. We've vacationed in the high country for years and can't wait to share this experience with our visitors.

Why they chose this property

We searched for a year or two for just the right property for us. Privacy and seclusion were important but also easy access to all that the high country has to offer. We fell in love with this cabin at first sight. The amazing yard, creek and firepit were icing on the cake for us!

What makes this property unique

Two key unique features of our cabin are its combination of secluded feeling and easy access. These two in combination are quite rare in the area. We also love the flat open yard area - also quite rare in the high country. Many homes are built on unlevel sites and have limited open grassy space for outdoor activities.
