Nice place to relax and recharge, very quiet and peaceful, we enjoyed the surroundings, short walks in the area. Cabin is cozy with all the essentials. We are a stargazers couple looking for dark skies away from big cities, but safety is paramount for us. This cabin is perfect to spend the night under the stars.Check if your cellphone carrier has coverage in Groveton, TX, because there is no Internet service in the cabin. Verizon and AT&T have no service there. It was great time!

I’m originally from Montana and have called Deep East Texas home for 9 years. I love it here! My husband is a born and raised East Texan and has the accent to prove it.

Why they chose this property

The woods of the Davy Crockett National Forest are so peaceful and feel so healing. Song birds, butterflies and wildlife at every turn. And the folks out here are friendly and warm.

What makes this property unique

Our property is unique because it’s tucked back in the woods with no visible neighbors. There’s very little light pollution out here and the stars are amazing at night! The house has simple, nostalgic decor so that when you step inside it feels like you’re visiting your Mamaw’s house. We wanted the house to feel like a cozy place to take a break from the world.
