Relax in privacy at this lakefront cottage. Close to the popular town of Westport, this cottage has the best of both worlds. Located on Westport Sand Lake, the waterfront is great for swimming, fishing and watersports. Only a 10 minute walk to the Scheuermann Vineyard, and a 3 minute drive to the shops and restaurants in town!

Westport Sand Lake is a fresh-water lake with clean/clear water that is stocked with walleye/pickerel fish!

Westport is a picturesque small town on the Upper Rideau lake with much to explore including great shopping a beautiful harbour, and don't forget to check-out the Foley Mountain Conservation area with "Spy Rock" which looks over the town from a bird's eye view! Westport has pubs, restaurants, a vineyard, a brew-pub, popular shopping, two golf courses and grocery/liquor/beer stores. The Cove Hotel and Pub in Westport has live entertainment weekly!

Max allowed on property is 6 adults and 4 kids (meaning, no more than 6 adults unless they are your grown kids). A canoe is included with the rental!

The Rideau Canal is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and was rated #2 as an exceptional historic site destination by National Geographic.

The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are also lots of activities, and events to participate in including, golf, historic tours, boat tours, shopping restaurants, and lots more!

Bedroom configurations: Master Bedroom has a queen bed and a sofa-bed. Upstairs the one bedroom has a queen bed and a double futon, the third bedroom has two twin (single) beds. There is also another sofa bed on the sun porch and another futon in the living room.

Cottage also has a 320 sqft enclosed sun porch! Doors from kitchen remain open to the porch area and it is also accessible from the living room. This is all part of the main floor living space, and is heated. A canoe is also included with this rental! The WiFi is 15mbps which is good for streaming video.

Blankets and pillows are provided, but please bring bed-sheets, pillowcases and towels. Linen service is available for an extra fee.

For the prime summer weeks, this cottage rents from Sunday to Sunday.
