Whether you’re here for outdoor adventure, a relaxing escape, or a romantic couples retreat, this peaceful cottage offers comfort, convenience, and the feeling of being tucked away in the woods while still close to everything.

And if you’re bringing toys along — you’re in luck! There’s plenty of space to park a camper or boat, and you’ll be just a couple minutes from the Mile High Marina boat launch and Ponderosa Park’s launch as well. It’s perfect if you’re traveling with friends or family… you can let another couple stay in the camper, or send the kids out there for their own “mini-adventure suite.” They’ll think it’s camping — you’ll think it’s peaceful. Win-win.

Step inside and enjoy a warm, welcoming space thoughtfully set up to make your stay effortless. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the comforts of home, cookware, dishes, pots and pans, a crockpot, air fryer, and everything you need to cook meals in. Or, simply stroll into town and enjoy McCall’s amazing restaurants, shops, coffee spots, and lakeside dining.

In the evenings, unwind outside under the stars around the large firepit. The cottage backs up to a quiet, forested area where wildlife frequently wanders through, including a friendly family of deer that can often be seen passing across the property. It’s the perfect setting to relax, reconnect, and slow down.

This cottage is designed especially for couples looking for a peaceful, stress-free stay. We provide all linens, towels, and cozy extras, including plush robes to curl up in while you sip coffee in the morning or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. High-speed internet is included so you can stay connected while you unwind.

Please note: there is no washer or dryer inside the cottage, but a convenient laundromat is located directly across the street if you need it during your stay.

The moonlight cottage was clean and very well equipped. The owner thought of every detail when it came to stocking the house. Check in and communication was great. Bed was comfortable and location is great. We would definitely stay again!

When we come to McCall and stay at Moonlight Cottage we pretty much fall right into vacation mode. In the summer we love heading over to Ponderosa State Park to hike or mountain bike and cruise trails like Huckleberry that wind through the trees and pop out with killer lake views. It is one of those spots we hit every time we are here. In the winter that same area turns into an awesome place to snowshoe where it is quiet peaceful and you can usually spot some wildlife if you are lucky. One of the best parts is how easy it is to walk or bike into town to grab a pizza at Foresters or head to Salmon River Brewery for a beer and some pub food while hanging out and looking over the lake. When there is snow on the ground we love getting up early and heading to Brundage Mountain to ski or snowboard which always has a relaxed local vibe and great terrain. Being this close to the McCall Golf Course is also a huge bonus especially in the summer. You can literally walk over check in at the clubhouse a block away and play a beautiful course that feels like you are right in the woods the whole time. But honestly some of our favorite moments happen right back at the cottage around the fire pit. Sitting outside with friends looking up at the stars telling stories playing a little guitar and just hanging out is about as good as it gets. If you have friends in town it is the perfect spot for everyone to gather and relax. And when the weather is warm nothing beats getting out on the lake. We love heading to the marina watching boats come and go or jumping on a pontoon with friends and cruising Payette Lake all day checking out the shoreline and soaking it all in. That is the kind of stuff that keeps us coming back to McCall.

What makes this property unique

What really makes Moonlight Cottage stand out is that it feels like you are tucked away while still being right in the middle of everything. A lot of places in town are condos or packed into tight neighborhoods but this spot actually gives you space. You have room to park a boat or a camper which is huge in McCall and not something you find very often. You can walk or bike to the lake downtown restaurants the golf course and Ponderosa State Park without dealing with traffic or long drives. The place is set up more like a true getaway than just a place to sleep with a big fire pit out back where everyone naturally ends up at night hanging out telling stories and looking at the stars. It works just as well for a laid back couples trip as it does for bringing friends along or having family nearby in a camper. You get that easy relaxed McCall vibe where nothing feels rushed and everything you want to do is close by. That mix of space location and chill atmosphere is what makes this place different and why we keep coming back.
