About the host
Hosted by Rachel
Hi! I’m Rachel, your host at Smoky Bear Lodge in beautiful Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. I am from Arkansas, born & raised. I am a proud small-business owner, real estate investor, and—most importantly—a wife & mom to 2 littles, who values family time, adventure, & creating spaces that feel like home (with a twist of fun!).
My love for hosting started way before I was a mother, back to my early 20's where every trip I booked a STR. After staying at my first STR in Los Angeles, CA I decided I could create the same welcoming space for guests in my hometown in Arkansas...and I did just that! In my 20's I started my first STR in Arkansas & I traveled all over, always searching for those hidden-gem places where I could laugh, relax, & make lifelong memories with friends, family, & colleagues.
That special touch & ability to create unique memories is what inspired me to design this cabin—with themed bunk rooms, game spaces, cozy corners, & plenty of room for everyone to unwind. Whether you’re visiting with extended family or your closest friends, I’ve tried to make sure there’s something here for everyone—from hot tub soaks and rocking chairs on the porch to late-night movie marathons and friendly pool tournaments, there is a touch for everyone (even the kids!)
Outside of hosting, I enjoy brokering Real Estate, going to lakes, and all things family time! I personally decorate all of our properties (with a little help from others :)) & I genuinely love making each one special, down to the little touches.
Being a host on VRBO is such a rewarding experience for me. I don’t take lightly the trust that guests place in us when they book their vacation. My goal is to make your stay seamless, relaxing, & full of joy— hopefully to have you return year after year!
Thank you for considering our cabin for your Smoky Mountain adventure. I’d love to be your host & help you create the kind of getaway your family will always remember.

Why they chose this property
When choosing a location for our cabin, I knew I wanted something right in the heart of Pigeon Forge—close to the action, but peaceful enough to unwind after a full day of adventure. This neighborhood checked every box and more. It offers that perfect balance of mountain charm and convenience, where you can enjoy the sounds of nature while being just minutes from Dollywood, The Island, and all the iconic family attractions the Smokies are known for.
I love that this area feels family-friendly and welcoming. The streets are quiet enough for morning coffee on the porch or an evening walk, but you’re never far from fun. Our cabin sits in a small mountain community where homes are cared for, views are beautiful, and everything feels just a little more relaxed.
One of my favorite parts of this neighborhood is how connected to nature it still feels—rolling hills, wooded backdrops, and that fresh Smoky Mountain air that hits you the moment you step outside. Whether you’re here for hiking, shopping, riding coasters, or soaking in the hot tub under the stars, this location is right where you want to be.
I chose this neighborhood because it’s ideal for making memories. It’s close to everything, yet it gives guests space to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simple pleasures of mountain life. From sunrise on the rocking chairs to stargazing by the fire pit, I hope you’ll love it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique
Smoky Bear Lodge is truly unique in that it’s not just a cabin—it’s an experience. Designed with both comfort and fun in mind, our property combines high-end features with one-of-a-kind themed spaces that guests of all ages will love.
The eye catcher of the home is the custom-built Basketball Bunk Room, complete with wall-mounted hoop, graffiti-style artwork, bunk beds, a full futon, and a flatscreen TV—it’s a sleepover dream for kids and teens (and grown-up fans too!). Add to that the Avengers-themed bunk room with full-size beds and superhero decor, and you’ve got a cabin that’s truly unforgettable.
We also took great care in creating intentional spaces for gathering and relaxing. There are three covered patios, including one with a large sectional and propane firepit and outdoor TV, one with a private hot tub with Adirondack Chairs and Loungers, and a peaceful front porch with rocking chairs and a swing—perfect for coffee at sunrise or early morning talks.
Inside, guests enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, a custom-built theater area, and a game room featuring a pool table and arcade game, so there’s always something to do, rain or shine. And with six bathrooms (each styled to match its bedroom), there’s plenty of space for everyone to feel at home.
Unlike standard rentals, we’ve made this cabin feel personal, playful, and luxurious. It’s where families reconnect, friend groups celebrate, and lasting memories are made—all within minutes of Pigeon Forge’s best attractions.
