With simple comforts, intentional decorations, and a relaxed atmosphere, we created this space to feel like a home away from home 💗
Whether you`re here to live, relax, work, or learn from the hundreds of interesting workshops, ceremonies and hikes - this place will suit you, and we`ll be right here to help with tips, suggestions, or just about anything.
We`re located 5 minutes walk and a 1-minute drive up the road from the most sought-after area in Pisac, `La Rinconada` - since we`re on the side of the road, it`s super easy to hail a taxi (keep in mind that cars will of course pass by, though)
From town, it`s:
5 mins by car/bike
Under 10 mins by moto
30 - 40 mins by foot
Motorcycle hire available (please enquire in advance):
40-80 soles per day (discounts for longer periods)
My partner and I will be available to answer any questions about the house or the area. We`re happy to share suggestions for activities, local spots, and must-see places in Pisac and the valley.
For more information about the area, check out our guidebook!
You`ll find beautiful mountains to hike, rivers to see, sites and communities to visit, and wonderful lagoons up in the mountains.
The magnificent Intihuatana (The Incan Ruins of Pisac) is a short tuktuk or taxi ride away from town.
You`ll find plenty of medicine ceremonies, yoga sessions, massage sessions, guided hikes and tours, ecstatic dance sessions, kirtan, sound healing, the list goes on... There`s a lot happening in Pisac! You`ll find more info about what you can do, and our favourite places in our guidebook.
In the food market you can buy blended juices of your choice for just 5 soles, and there`s a huge selection of fresh veg, fruit, herbs, fish & meat, as well as general items in the upstairs section.
In town, you`ll also find the biggest artisanal market in the valley, which has an impressive selection of handmade goods, jewellery, carpets, artwork, clothing etc.
There`s a huge selection of restaurants that will suit every budget and taste pallet - you`ll find local dishes, as well as international food like curry, Pizza, Sushi, Vegetarian, Vegan, steak, etc... We`ve shared our favourite places in our guidebook.
The Valley:
Colectivos run all the way along the valley, from Cusco to Ollantaytambo (and beyond!)
It`s the cheapest way to get around the city - and super easy, as `colectivos` pass by every 10 or so minutes and run from early morning til late in the evening. You can catch them in either direction by Pisac bridge.
Pisac:
Travel to Intihuatana (the famous Pisac ruins), the lakes, and beautiful mountain hikes in the Pisac area is easy via a tuk-tuk (called mototaxis in Peru) or local taxi car, both of which you can catch from outside of the Pisac Mercado De Abastos (the main food market). In the house manual you`ll find numbers for our favourite taxis.
Motorcycle Hire:
We also offer Motorcycle hire! It`s available at 40-80 soles per day, please enquire in advance though :)
Parking your car:
There`s space to park a car or motorcycles on our drive.
From our house to Pisac town, it`s:
5 mins by car / bike
Under 10 mins by moto
25 mins by foot
-----------Some things to note-----------
Please note: houses in Pisac don`t have central heating and radiators, so the warmth you might be used to back home is likely not possible!
We have a large gas heater in the living room, which you are welcome to use.
We will provide one gas refill for the heater. If you’d like more gas after that, that would be an extra charge of 50 soles.
We ask that you don`t bring in extra electric heaters unless otherwise agreed, as they cost a lot in electricity!
Thanks :)
- Our neighbors have recently covered a part of our living room window, so the amount of light coming in might be lower than seen in the photos
The house has recently been remodeled, and the kitchen and bathrooms have been rebuilt. As a result, the bathrooms are bigger now, and the kitchen is about the same. The house also now has a new balcony!
Just wanted to mention it since these spaces might look a tiny bit different from the photos :)
- As it`s a country house with lots of earth and not much concrete around, a few insects will likely make an entrance ;)
- We have two security cameras outside the house, to ensure the security of our guests and the house :) One points at the front door and the other at the back door/backyard area.
Finally, across from the house, a new house is being built. We are communicating with the builders to ask that they try to keep noise down in the morning, and we also built a fence to keep privacy in the garden, but we wanted to mention it for full transparency.
If you`d like to have more than 1 or 2 friends visit, or do anything that could be considered an event / party, please make sure it`s agreed with us in advance - whilst we want you to do everything you`d do at your own home, we also wanna make sure nothing gets damaged at our place, and also that we keep our neighbour completely happy. Thanks for understanding :)
Another note: please don`t bring any animals into the house, unless we`ve agreed otherwise.
If you have doubts about whether something would be OK or not, please reach out :)
I think that`s everything... Cheers!
