Was not at all what we were expecting. Was not expecting a family to be living upstairs during our stay. There were 2 TV's that did not work. It would have been nice if the listing would have stated somewhere that the family would also be there. Didn’t feel comfortable with the situation so ended up out the money for the VRBO rental and got a hotel instead.
When we arrived we thought surely this isn't the place. There were multiple cars and nowhere to park. The garage was open and it was filled with broken appliances. They were spilling out onto the driveway. Nervously, I knocked on the door and a sketchy man answered. The Smell hit us as soon as the door opened. It was horrible! There was what sounded like a party upstairs with children running and yelling and multiple adults. The man led us to the immediate left to a tiny hall with a kitchenette set up in it. I was so baffled by the hall kitchen that I missed the group of men in the open door to the garage across from the hall/kitchenette that were dismantling appliances. I am guessing stripping them for wire?!We went down a few stained stairs to a door that opened to a tiny den area with children's toys strewn about. By then my group was exchanging looks of horror. I didn't know what to do I was so embarrassed. I walked to the first door (the bathroom) and the man cried out, "No! Don't go in! Someone is in there!" I froze...there is someone in the bathroom to the Vrrbo I rented?! A woman popped out, bowed her head and ran by us. By then we knew we were leaving, but I was morbidly curious so I unlocked one of the bedroom doors. It was small, with too much furniture, and didn't look clean. I turned to my friends. One said, "we can't bring our clothes in here, we will smell like ....this"My husband had us wait in the car while he returned the keys. We fled. Sorry no pictures
