Beautiful little apartment in the historic part of town
We loved staying here. Very comfortable and quiet, in the most charming part of historic Charleston.Walking distance to most places we wanted to be and very near our family friends. Just perfect for us.
We were in town for a long weekend to attend a friend's wedding and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. The location is wonderful - we walked to amazing restaurants, shops, and sites. The property is immaculately kept and the lodging was clean and comfortable. The hosts were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
Enjoyed a lovely few days in the heart of the historic district in this "treehouse" unit. Quiet neighborhood and enjoyable backyard. Comfortable bed and attractive furnishings. Well supplied with essentials. Walked to everything (restaurants, stores, ferry, museums, waterfront, etc.)
Lovely spot within walking distance of most everything
Lovely 2nd floor apartment. Clean, quiet, lovely and convenient. If I had to find a fault it would be that the bed isn’t the most comfortable but not so bad that I wouldn’t recommend the place without hesitation.
This property is walkable to everything you want to see in Charleston. The kitchenette is well equipped. The house has an interesting history and is in a beautiful neighborhood.
Quiet and cozy upstairs apartment within walking distance of shops, restaurants, College of Charleston and more. We loved the location and communication with hosts was great. The apartment was a mix of old and new. Kudos to the designer for fitting a fully functional kitchen in such a tight space! The bathroom was lovely with generous towels. The entire space was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended! Caveat for those with mobility issues due to stairs and tight spaces.
This is a stunning VRBO, fantastic location in the historic district. Beautifully decorated, bedroom linens amazing, incredible outdoor space. We loved it! We did have some significant communication issues with the hosts, but in the end, I am very glad it worked out because it was a lovely stay.
Absolutely perfect Colonial carriage house in my favorite neighborhood. SOB simply oozes historic style. Walked most everywhere and a short Uber to other stellar eating spots and the golf course. Love Charleston!A Northerner.
The property is at an excellent location within walking distance of restaurants and other sights of Charleston. The house is charming. There were two problems though. One, there is no designated parking; we needed to park on the street. For the relatively high rental charges, the property should provide parking. Second, the bed was ridicularly high off the ground; we worried about injury.
This is such a charming property... it just "feels" like what you would imagine Charleston to be. The location is very convenient to shops and restaurants and museums, but it was honestly so peaceful in the garden that one could never want to leave. The hosts are even more charming and kind and welcoming ... can't wait to go back!
Wonderful accommodation! Super cute upstairs apartment - incredibly convenient location for strolling the historic area! All the conveniences you need to make your stay a lovely experience - comfortable seating to enjoy morning coffee overlooking a beautiful garden. Great linens in bath and bedroom - nicely decorated and very clean. Look forward to staying here again on future visits.
Like having your own immaculate fully furnished one bedroom apartment on quiet street in the heart of Old Charleston--a short walk to the Battery waterfront, the CARTA bus stop, places of interest. Communication w/host was excellent regarding parking, use of facilities etc. Highly recommended.
Thank you soooo much to Henry and Virginia for opening up your lovely home to us. You were gracious hosts and your rental property was absolutely everything we hoped it would be for a wonderful visit to Old Town Charleston. We hope to stay with you again in the future.
I just stayed on the top floor of this beautiful historic carriage house. If was lovely, very quiet and in my favorite neighborhood in Charleston. Walking distance to everything. The owners were also very kind and gracious, making sure I had everything o needed. I will be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd stay at this carriage house. It is located perfectly for walking throughout Charleston, is quite clean, and has all the amenities you would want. We can highly recommend it. (The owner provides a picture of the spiral staircase from the ground floor to the actual apartment, so be mindful of that if stairs are a challenge for you.)
