Palm Springs Baristo Property
First thing to mention is the incredible location. Literally two small blocks from the main street of downtown Palm Springs and two to three blocks from the art museum and Starbucks. The unit is beautifully decorated and the pictures in the listing are accurate. One issue we faced, during a short visit from young grandchildren, is the community pool area is not really kid friendly. The adult residents really want peace and quiet which I get! Teens probably ok. Lastly the utility cost for our 31 day stay was $493 during a time of moderate temps and no use of the heat pumps. We were also pretty light on use of the hot tub.

Cool Villa in the Heart of Palm Springs
My husband and I spent the month of January in this beautiful condo and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is superb--walking distance to everything. The home is beautifully furnished and meticulously maintained. Stepping into the heart of the condo complex, with its brick streets and bougainvillea vines, feels like being transported to an Italian village. The owner and property manager are incredibly helpful and responsive. We hope to return one day!

Very comfortable big home with great communal pool
We had a great 6 week stay here, enjoying the central location just a block from the centre of Palm Springs. The home is large and modern with everything we needed for a family of four and our occasional guests. We loved the communal pool and jacuzzi which was very attractive and well designed, just a short stroll down the other end of the St Baristo block of homes. Despite being perfect swimming weather in October - November we often had the pools to ourselves. The whole estate is very quiet with only 4 or 5 of the homes occupied while we were there. Only downside we would note is that this style of home is quite dark and gloomy inside, and you need lights on all day in the kitchen and one of the living areas. There is also little in the way of views from within despite the mountains being so close outside. We enjoyed the small patio and bbq area, though this is surprisingly small for such a large home. The owners could improve the outdoor lighting there so that evening meals outside can be enjoyed more. Our hosts were very responsive. It's worth noting that they charged us for the power usage using an estimation method but we would have preferred to have used meter readings so there could be no disagreement.

Enjoyable stay within walking distance of downtown Palm Springs
This was our first venture of spending more than a week in the desert, and we were happy to be so close to everything downtown and to have found this house. The house suited our needs perfectly and, frankly, this review would have been 5 stars had it not been such a pain to have the few small things repaired that needed repair upon our arrival. The owner and "property manager" were rather unpleasant about plumbing and bathroom repairs that should have been done prior to a 2 month rental. The person in charge of opening the house for us was too unfamiliar with things to do the job well. Had he checked everything out prior to our arrival, most of the issues could have been resolved (showers not functioning for example; TV remotes not working). While not terribly major things, they are annoyances to a new renter. If these reviews are designed to "share experience and help the Manager" as per the VRBO website, then our suggestion is to make sure your house is in pristine shape before renters arrive. Were we the first renters? Our only other "concern" about the house is the burned out church across the street, as it's an eyesore now, but a potential building site soon. We liked the house enough to rent it again, but the owner raised the price $2,000 per month for the same period! On the positive side, the house is well appointed with a working gas grill and good kitchen, excepting the microwave that should have been replaced. Once repaired, we found the bathrooms spacious and well-functioning. There was more than ample closet space and the two living rooms allowed for multiple uses. The patio private spa was really nice to have so we didn't have to walk to the communal one a bit of a distance. Mostly we liked being a short walk to so many restaurants. St. Baristo is a wonderful small community occupying a full city block in Palm Springs. All in all we had an excellent two months and appreciated having found this property for our stay. Perhaps because we expect some perfection in the houses we rent, we've identified the issues for this owner and future renters will undoubtedly benefit. If you've done your homework and feel this price is right for the property, I wouldn't hesitate renting it.

We live in Los Gatos Ca and thought we would have more time to use this beautiful condo located 1 block from the main street in Palm Springs. Unfortunately family and business keeps us busy in our home town.
