We came to Tucson to cycle and hike. The stay at Placita Graciosa was perfect for me and ny friend. We had the best sleep and recovery after long days in the saddle and on our feet .
Another delightful stay at Casa Graciosa. Peaceful setting, abundant wildlife visits, and marvelous hosts. Each year we enjoy the desert, while knowing the city is close by too. Have enjoyed many new and different experiences with each stay.
This is our third stay at Placita Graciosa. The house is very nice! The backyard is next to a wash. We saw coyotes, javalinas, quail, hummingbirds, a bobcat (quick peak), and roadrunners. We love the wildlife. Mike is a great landlord, very responsive.
Thank you so much for your house. We had a lovely time enjoying the view from the shady patio. It was a great place from which we enjoyed exploring Tucson.

March Rental in AZ
Great place to stay. Beautiful view of desert and mountains from patio. Numerous animals made an appearance - coyotes, javelinas, road-runners, to name a few.
Gracious Home aptly named due to both the home and the hosts. We enjoyed another delightful stay at this lovely home in the desert. Close to needed commercial and nature related sites. Hosts that provide outstanding suggestions while exploring the area. Wonderful wildlife views from the backyard.
This was our second time to stay at this house - we enjoyed staying here a couple of years ago and knew we wanted to stay again when we came back to Tucson. The house is very clean and has some recent updates and plenty of space. We love the backyard landscaping and its location by the dry wash - we especially enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife!
Wonderful place to stay! The house was super clean and comfortable and in a really nice, quiet neighborhood. The best thing about the house (in my opinion) is the backyard. Lots of wildlife and birdwatching. It was great to sit on the back porch, relax, and watch the birds. Mike the property manager was super nice and easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay here is the next time we visit.
Another delightful stay at Casa Graciosa. We have enjoyed this peaceful desert home for several years and this was no exception. This year it provided an additional benefit in that it worked well for my spouse to rehab from ankle surgery. The location is outstanding and the wildlife visits are exceptional. Host is most gracious that we’ve ever met.

We enjoyed our stay here
This is a great location to view the desert while at home. Mike even called us to let us know that javalina were there. We were out but fortunately we had already seen them. The birds were amazing.

Golf and Hike paradise!
If you like to hike and golf, this is a great location. Saguaro West and Tucson Mountain park are great, as are the close public courses.
Comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, kitchen very nice. coyotes, Road runners, Javelinas sightings. Very convenient and good Safeway.
Thanks Mike
We will be back!
After being on the road for 3 weeks we were ready to get out of the tight confines of a hotel room. Mike's VRBO property was perfect, just outside of Tucson with peace and quiet like we enjoy in our own home. The home was spacious, well equipped, quiet, in nature and conveniently located. Mike was a great host and taught us about Tucson which he knows well as his family is 7th generation in the areas. We enjoyed sitting on the patio in the back enjoying humming birds, small animals and a variety of birds. It was a great experience.
We just completed our second stay at this beautiful home set in the desert. It’s located on a cul-de-sac and feels very private. The house is attractively decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked.
We especially enjoy all the wildlife that comes through the backyard—javalinas, road runners, quail, hummingbirds, coyotes. We enjoy sitting on the patio.
Mike is a great host. He checked in periodically to make sure we had everything we needed.
All in all, a great rental!
This spacious and pleasant house had everything we were looking for: a lovely property with a great desert garden, lots of privacy, birds and animals to watch from the covered patio (we saw a coyote meander across the yard), a pretty Mountain View, and a location convenient to the National Parks and other outdoor reserves in the area. Interactions with owner Mike Alameda were excellent, start to finish. Attention to COVID protocols was evident, which is important to us. Notes: we had good luck with Grub Hub for food delivery; people we saw in stores etc were 99% masked.

Ultimate desert experience
We couldn't have asked for more of our stay at Casa Graciosa. This house is conveniently located close to the city with easy expressway access, but also offers a desert experience as well.
The house is well cared for and spacious. The landscaping is done in a peaceful desert motif. There is a stairway leading to the wash where you can take a pleasant desert hike. The backyard teemed with life; daily visits from the gamble quail, a wandering coyote and a group of javelina were seen during our stay.
The owner is a most gracious host and offered a number of good recommendations about what to see and where to go. Due to his long family history in the area, he was able to offer insights about the area and especially the desert that were most enlightening.
The location was ideal for visiting the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and the petroglyphs at Saquaro National Park West. The easy access to the expressways made for quick and easy day trips to Tombstone and Tubac. Unfortunately, a week was not enough to see some of the other sites in the area. Hopefully, we can return sometime in the future to Casa Graciosa for another delightful stay.
This house provided all the “comforts of home” in a quiet desert setting. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The nearest grocery store and restaurant are only about 10 minutes away. Downtown is an additional 5-10 minutes. But you don’t need to go far at all to enjoy hiking/walking an endless supply of trails. Try AllTrails or a similar app for all the details you need to choose what’s best for you. Loads of museums, galleries, botanical gardens…and come home to relax on the patio or the very comfortable TV room!
This is one of our favorite VRBO rentals for a break from our cold and cloudy northern home. Each visit we return to some of our favorite area venues and then check out new places based on Mike’s suggestions. Many of the reviews sum up what is so great about this place.
