While the neighborhood is quite, we have also opted to enhance security with Ring Doorbell cameras facing the street and backyard area of the property, so our guests feel that much more comfortable in short term rental home.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Put all used sheets and pillow cases in the laundry basket of the room you and your party stayed in. Leave pillows and quilts on beds. Load dishwasher and turn on. We will unload. Trash goes outside.
$80.00 Pet Fee is per pet. Limit 1 pet. Renters of pets are required to pick up pet feces from the yard, or an additional cleaning fee of 100.00 will be added. Pets are NOT to be left unattended.
Ensure all lights, Air conditioners, base board heaters, or any other electrical items are shut off
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
The rate is based on a four person occupancy. Any additional people over four will be an additional $30 per person per night
It is illegal to smoke marijuana in Pennsylvania even with medical card. Smoking of tobacco or marijuana in house will incur a $500.00 cleaning fee
Long Term Cleaning Fee of $120 will be applied for guests who stay over five days. A $150.00 fee for guests staying over 14 days.

The Railside Inn is exactly as advertised. It was the perfect location for us four GAP Trail riders. Very clean with plentiful kitchen items.Patrick responded to our text, “I’ll be right there!” He was very helpful and personable. I highly recommend the Railside Inn for a stay in West Newton.

The property was very nice, west newton is a small town and the Vrbo was right off the Main Street, which had restaurants and shops. The host was great, and was available for any questions I had.

This was an excellent place to stay in West Newton. The owner was great a communicator and quick to respond to any questions. The rooms were comfortable and they had a shed with a lock for bikes. Easy access to the GAP trail. We would definitely stay here again.

Why they chose this property

West Newton is a railroad town next to the Great Allegheny Passage. The Youghiogheny river runs through the community making the town an attraction for biking, kayaking, and fishing.

What makes this property unique

This property was built in 1900 with various upgrades through the years. There are 10ft ceilings and a impressive staircase to the second floor. We have been told our place is very homey and friendly.
