The cabin has a very efficient layout which allows for good use of a smaller space for the 8 people we traveled with. The location is excellent-it is easy to get to two seperate dining/entertaining areas without having to access the busy highway. The cabin doesnā€™t have a large indoor table for communal dining or game playing for more than 4 people and the cabin did have quite a bit of dust/cob webs throughout the house. Know that the driveway down to the cabin drops 31 feet and has a 19 degree slope. This could be taxing for some vehicles to get up. The management was very communicative and helpful. In all, a good spot.

Beautiful cabin inside and out. We enjoyed eating our meals at the large table on the back porch. Everyone loved the cabin. Definitely need a rear wheel drive vehicle (steep roads and driveway).Minor issue but the host (Vacana) was easy to contact and provided a fix to remedy the issue. Canā€™t say enough about their communication (10/10).All in allā€¦we enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

This house accommodated our family perfectly! Beautiful home. We enjoyed our stay. It was for Fatherā€™s Day for my husband and he has enjoyed the days relaxing. We hate to leave. The driveway was my only scare. LOL. Very very steep.

Pros: Beautiful cabin & lots of games/entertainment. Cons: The road (Lukfata Fork Trail) leading to street the cabin on has a flood zone. We were very concerned about this as it was scheduled to rain our entire trip. Our concerns were valid as one car did end up getting stuck in the flood area & the police came to rescue her & block off that road. I donā€™t recall seeing instructions anywhere of an alternative route, however, thankfully, we were able to find one through a map. The driveway was also scary steep. We have a 4x4 & my kids & I were legitimately scared going down it on a dry surface. We debated even leaving the cabin during the rain. The biggest con, though, were the king size beds. They were so unbelievably firm, we had trouble sleeping & even ended up leaving a night early, just so we could sleep. Itā€™s too bad the beds were so uncomfortable because my kids literally cried leaving. We enjoyed every other aspect of the cabin, we just couldnā€™t sleep.

We completely understand how concerning the flooding situation on Lukfata Fork Trail must have been, especially with rain in the forecast. Safety is always a priority, and we appreciate you sharing your experience. We will work on making alternative route information more clearly available for future guests. The driveway can definitely feel steep, particularly in wet conditions, and we understand how that could be intimidating. Regarding the beds, we are very sorry to hear they were uncomfortable for you. Mattress comfort can be subjective, but this is the first complaint weā€™ve received about them. We will absolutely inform the owners and take a closer look into the issue to see what improvements can be made. We never want a guestā€™s sleep to impact their stay, and weā€™re truly sorry it led to you leaving early. The property itself was very nice, but there were a few issues that impacted our stay.The back deck could use some attention, as it was covered in spider webs and was very dusty.The biggest issue occurred on our last night. We returned to the property later that evening and found water on the main floor. After investigating, we discovered that the drain line from the upstairs A/C unit had become disconnected and was leaking into the main level of the home. We immediately tried contacting the host, but were unable to reach anyone despite multiple attempts.We cleaned up the water ourselves and had to turn off the upstairs A/C unit to stop the leak. As a result, the upstairs became too warm, and our kids had to sleep downstairs for the night.The host did not return our call until 9:55 the following morning. I explained everything that had happened, and while they apologized, the only resolution offered was a discount on a future stay if we booked another property through Cavana.The home has a lot of potential, but the lack of timely communication during an urgent maintenance issue was very disappointing. When something like this happens, guests need to be able to reach someone immediately.
