Cheryl and Wally were gracious hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable stay. We cannot thank her and Wally enough for the hospitality we received. Especially Wally, who changed his plans last minute to accommodate us on a fishing charter. We look forward to staying at Catfish Creek for years to come.
Cabin is not in shape like the photos show. It’s a little run down. Cabin was not cleaned. Beds had dog hair all over the sheets, blankets and pillows. Dog hair all over the couch’s and floor. Plus there was dirty wash cloth and towel in tub along with dog and human hair. I spent my first full day there cleaning the cabin so my family didn’t have to be grossed out.
I should get the cleaning service fee refunded.
My family truly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was really clean, cozy, and had plenty of room to move around in. We loved the bedroom loft -- super comfy beds! All of the air conditioners and fans worked great, the kitchen was well stocked with all of the cookware, glasses, mugs, and utensils we needed. The grill on the deck worked just fine, and we enjoyed the fire ring for toasting marshmallows. The setting is rustic, as is the road leading to the cabin. Didn't bother us one bit; we wanted our vacation to be a bit off the beaten path. It was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Cheryl, the owner, is very accommodating and communicative. We enjoyed talking with her. There's no WiFi but there is DirecTV. If we are ever in the area again, we'd love to have a repeat stay.

Susanna,
Thank you for your great review. We enjoyed having you. As a side note, we are working on getting wifi to the cabin this week. If all goes as planned I will update our listing on VRBO.
Thanks for staying with us!

Just a group of family and friends fishing together. Place very well situated for our needs, close enough to the River for our trip. Had everything we needed to be completely satisfied. Would stay here again
This cabin was perfect for our trip! We had 4 adults, 4 kids and a golden retriever staying here and there was still plenty of room. The pictures online don’t do this lovely little retreat justice as the kitchen has been updated. The kitchen has everything you could need for cooking. The backyard is huge and our kids and their doggie cousin had a blast just running around and enjoying the sunshine. Will definitely stay here again in the future!
Awesome cabin. We get a spot every year as a group of friends for beers, bonfires, and football. This would be a great location to get on a local fishing charter for sure.
Cheryl was super nice and responsive to make sure we had the Bills game for Sunday.
Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Even though part of our family that were supposed to stay here couldn't make trip due to difficulties with vehicles- other members thoroughly enjoyed the GORGEOUS property and very comfortable accommodations!!
Cheryl and Wally are adorable couple. Down to earth, good people work hard and have fun when they can.
They were always available, kind and helpful. We enjoyed fishing with Wally and Bob, and camp and sorounding neighborhood. Lake is beautiful and fishing is exciting adventure.
All and all we will be back to visit and hopefully see them again.
Couldn’t ask for a better spot to stay while fishing on Ontario! Between the ample room for 4 guys and the awesome deck, this place is great for what we needed!
Plenty of beds for all to sleep. Nice back deck with gas grill.
Plenty of sitting space. we had 8 one night and 7 the second night. Great communication with the owner. I would for sure schedule again.
Thank you Cheryl
Didn't know what to expect, cabin was nice. Plenty of room and the deck out back will share many memories. The owner was very nice and helpful. Looking forward to next year. Very quiet and relaxing. A/C was nice with the heat wave. Thanks for everything.
Beautiful place, indoors and outside. Kids were happy to have their own bedrooms. the loft bedroom was fun to look out over the first floor below and had a very nice, comfortable king size bed. We really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, and also the plentiful supply of bathroom towels. We enjoyed sitting outside at night in the backyard around the fire ring, roasting marshmallows with the kids. In the mornings, we would see deer crossing through down by the creek. It was definitely hard to leave at the end of the week! Would definitely stay again.
