Island Dreams Coastal Cottage isn’t just a house—it’s a piece of coastal history. Built in 1952 as a classic beach cottage, this charming retreat has been lovingly maintained and is perfect for relaxing and making memories. Life slows down here in the best way. Enjoy a dog-friendly, ideally located home with a spacious fenced backyard featuring a BBQ grill, smoker, fire pit, lounge area, and cornhole for family fun.
**Please note - a signed rental agreement and guest verification with valid photo ID are required. The reservation is not complete until the signed agreement and guest verification are submitted and accepted.
*All guests must be 25 years old, except for children with parents.
*2 dogs max allowed, no cats.
*This property can be rented monthly in the off season (Sept-April) - please submit an inquiry.
- Monthly discounts are not available during the summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day).
**DEL 302 Management standard:
-Linens and towels are included
-Starter amounts of toilet paper for each bathroom, paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent/pods, hand soap at each sink, and dish soap at the kitchen sink. Also, supply shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathrooms.
-Guests are responsible for providing anything they need beyond the starter amounts provided.

- Each bedroom has a sound machine in it.
- The two rooms downstairs have a mini fan feature and alarm clock in the sound machine.

- Dogs must be crated when left unattended.
- 2 Dog Crates available for guest use (30"W x 48"L x 33"H and 23"W x 36"L x 23"H)
OUTDOOR LIVING: Outdoor private back patio with lounge area, patio heaters, fire pit, BBQ grill, smoker, outdoor dining table, and corn hole game.

Fully equipped, stainless steel appliances, microwave, Keurig dual coffee maker, Nespresso machine(uses original pods), tea kettle, french press, toaster, nutri-bullet and regular blender, dishware/flatware, cooking basics, steamer pot for seafood, crab mallots, crab knives.
GENERAL:
WiFi, washer/dryer, linens, bath towels, hairdryer, central AC/Heat, keyless entry, coffee maker, beach towels, iron and ironing board.
*Please note - 1st floor is central AC/Heat, upstairs is a split unit for AC/Heat.

*Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is highly recommended. Our cancellation policy is strict, as defined on booking platforms, to maintain fairness and sustainability. Island Dreams and DEL302 Management cannot offer refunds for cancellations outside of the policy. Therefore, we strongly advise guests to protect their travel plans from unforeseen disruptions by purchasing travel insurance.
*No unregistered guests unless pre-approved by hosts. If you violate this rule, you will be asked to leave, forfeiting the reservation and all fees associated. Additional guests that have been pre-approved by the host will incur a $25 per guest, per day fee.
*Fig Tree*
A mature fig tree grows on the property, producing fruit in August at the peak of fig season. To prevent bees from being drawn to the ripe fruit, the owners will need to harvest it during this time. If you have a bee allergy, please take extra care.
- Guests are welcome to enjoy figs while they're in season, but please do so at your own discretion.
- We will strive to schedule fig harvesting when the property is unoccupied; however, as fig season coincides with peak rental season, some overlap may occur.
*Please note - In the summer season, lawn cutting happens once a week and the day can vary due to weather.
*Mosquito Joe company comes to spray twice a month.
*Please note - there will be an extra deep cleaning fee if your stay is 14 days or longer.
*As of July 1, 2022, retailers in the State of Delaware no longer provide a plastic carryout bags made from film at checkout. Instead, they now provide customers access to a reusable bag for purchases, or you may bring your own.
*Service Animals*
Per ADA, guests with a service animal are required to follow these basic rules:
-The Service Animal may not be left unattended at the property at any time. The moment the handler leaves the SA unattended, the animal is considered a pet and the guest will be charged the pet fee.
-The Service Animal must be on a leash or under control of verbal or sight commands that they are trained to follow at all times.
-The Service Animal must be housebroken, non-aggressive, not destructive, and not disruptive to neighbors (e.g. repeated barking or other noises)
-The Service Animal should be walked outdoors when they need to relieve themselves. Indoor pee pads are not allowed as a primary practice.
-Guests with a Service Animal shall clean up defecations and dispose of properly.
-Guest understands that they will remain liable for all damage caused by the Service Animal.
*A SERVICE ANIMAL MUST NOT BE:
-Outside of the guest's control -SA’s must be on a leash or under the verbal/sight commands they are trained to perform at all times
-Un-housebroken - SA’s must be housebroken, nonaggressive and not disruptive
-Left alone at the property at any time - SA’s must always remain with the handler. Guests do not have permission to leave SA unattended.
*Emotional Support Animals*
- Emotional Support animals are not trained to perform a specific job or task and do not qualify as a Service Animal under the ADA, state and local laws.
- ESAs are subject to pet fees, and additional cleaning fees.
*Guests traveling with a service animal are encouraged to communicate with the host prior to arrival.
**LONGER STAYS**
-It is mandatory that after 2 weeks we will come to inspect the rental. After the first inspection, we will then be checking every 30 days for the remainder of your stay.
- Toiletries/supplies are stocked upon arrival - once they run out, it is on the renter to replenish as needed.
- Stays over 28 days will incur an additional $200 cleaning fee.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
- Please put all used bath towels on the floor of the bathrooms.
- Please place used beach towels in the washer and turn it on.
-Please pick up after your dog.
-Please place dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on
-Please empty refrigerator of your items and take all trash/recycling and dispose of it properly in the bins
-Please strip the used beds and put used sheets/pillow cases on the floor for the cleaners to retrieve.
- If you used the grill or smoker, please make sure to clean it.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
