Simple Scandinavian Cabin on Lake Wedowee

This simple, authentic log cabin, originally built in the 1980s and thoughtfully remodeled in 2016, offers 400 feet of private lake frontage with lake views from every room.

The main level features two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, an open living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and laundry. A spacious loft upstairs includes five twin beds—perfect for kids or extra guests. The lower level offers an additional living area, a kitchenette, two bedrooms, and a full bathroom.

The wrap-around porch is a guest favorite and the perfect spot for morning coffee, quiet evenings, and soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

This cabin is intentionally TV-free, making it an ideal place to unplug and reconnect—though Starlink high-speed internet is available if needed.

Guests may enjoy the fire pit, four kayaks and access to a private boat ramp, shared with our neighbor.

Please note: Lake levels are typically lowered from mid-October through mid-April.

Other things to note
We share a driveway and boat ramp with two neighbors. They are older neighbors; one being full time residents and the other there every weekend. Out of respect for our neighbors and our home this is not a party house. Although this house can host a large number of people this is not the house to host blow-out celebrations. We have a paved driveway but you must drive down a one mile dirt road after turning off the highway to access the cabin.
