Kollnburg - the romantic castle village The state-recognised resort is located in the middle of the Bavarian Forest Nature Park, idyllically situated north of the 1050 m high Pröller between Viechtach and Sankt Englmar. Instead of large bed castles, our guests can expect a historic castle, dreamy corners, green forests, wonderful views and a homely, contemplative atmosphere.

At any time of year, the castle village is the ideal starting point for relaxing walks, long hikes and interesting mountain bike tours, and in winter our guests can enjoy a downhill run on the Pröller ski triangle or long winter hikes - with or without snowshoes. Holidays without the ostentation of tourism, well-being and relaxation in harmony with nature, with Bavarian culture and hospitality - that's Kollnburg!

Outside there is a large terrace with a barbecue and garden furniture. The Quellenhof is surrounded by a large meadow with a bathing pond which is fed with fresh spring water.

The Quellenhof consists of two separate residential units, the old farmhouse and the converted barn. The Quellenhof has a total living space of approx. 300 m² and can accommodate up to 15 people. On the ground floor of the old farmhouse there is a fully equipped kitchen, a living room and a full bathroom with WC, shower and bathtub. On the first floor there are two bedrooms with double beds and a WC. At the top, under the gable, there is another bedroom with four (six) beds. In the converted barn, the conservatory on the ground floor leads to a large eat-in kitchen and two bathrooms. One with a shower and one with a bathtub. Upstairs there is a large lounge with a fireplace and a gallery, two bedrooms with double beds and a single room. In an outbuilding there is a leisure and entertainment room with a kitchen and a large corner bench. The courtyard is heated in winter by a wood-burning stove in each living area. Infrared heating panels are also installed.

A hiking trail passes directly in front of the house. A Kneipp facility is about two kilometres away and can be easily reached on foot. The Pröller and Predigtstuhl ski areas are just a few kilometres away, as are the Waldwipfelweg, the climbing forest and the summer toboggan run. Countless leisure and excursion destinations are in the immediate vicinity and promise a varied and relaxing holiday.

The last 300 metres of the Quellenhof can be reached via an unpaved path which is not always free of snow in winter. For winter guests, appropriate winter equipment is urgently required.
