This historic home rests on a quiet acre where early sun warms the porch, distant glimpses of the Atlantic catch the eye, and the days feel unhurried. Mornings begin outside with a view toward open sky, while inside, the layout invites shared meals, quiet reading, and easy afternoons after the beach. With shoreline access just 1.5 miles down the street and Narragansett’s most-loved beaches nearby, it’s well suited for long weekends or extended seaside stays.
The Space:
Originally built in 1875 as a carriage house, the residence retains its 19th-century character with wide-plank pine floors, tall windows, and period detailing throughout. Two distinct living areas provide space to spread out—whether you're reading, watching a movie, or playing cards after dinner. A dedicated study offers a quiet place to work or catch up on a good book. The kitchen is located just off the porch and garden path, making it easy to head in from the outdoor shower or bring drinks outside in the evening.
All four bedrooms are located upstairs. Two rooms include a king bed and offer natural light and privacy. A third bedroom has a queen bed. The fourth is arranged with a set of queen-over-queen bunks and a twin, ideal for children or friends sharing space. Two full bathrooms serve the upper level.
The home sits on a one-acre lot with a wide front lawn and ample room for outdoor meals or games. The front porch looks east toward the morning sun, while the second-story balcony offers a quiet perch with filtered ocean views. An outdoor shower is set just off the garden path, convenient after beach trips or coastal walks.
Guests can walk to the shoreline via Newton Avenue for sweeping ocean views and rocky outcrops. Narragansett Town Beach, Scarborough, and the Port of Galilee are all within a short drive. Local seafood, coastal shops, and the Block Island ferry are easily accessible, along with trails and viewpoints throughout the area.
Pack ’n Play
Guest Access:
Guests have exclusive access to the entire house, including the outdoor living space and driveway. Enjoy beach access with provided beach chairs, towels, and toys. For indoor entertainment, there's a PS4 PlayStation, board games, and streaming services.
The Neighborhood:
Narragansett is a classic New England beach town shaped by salt air, surf, and weathered stone. Its shoreline offers more than just views—surf breaks at Town Beach, long walks at Scarborough, a great nearby fishing spot, and quiet moments near the lighthouse at Point Judith. A short drive brings you to Galilee for fresh seafood or the ferry to Block Island. With a walkable center, coastal trails, and a rhythm that follows the tides, Narragansett moves at a pace that invites you to stay awhile.
Getting Around:
Getting around is easy and enjoyable. Most of our homes are located in residential areas where you can walk, bike, ride a scooter, or rent a golf cart to explore. The communities are relatively small, and with a 25 mph speed limit on most streets, the area stays safe, family-friendly, and relaxed.
Other Things to Note:
We provide dedicated driveway parking for up to 10 vehicles. Please note that parking on the street is not permitted, as that area is owned by the Town and subject to ticketing and towing. To avoid any issues, kindly use only the driveway and limit vehicles to 10. The garage is not available for parking.
Interaction with Guests:
We live right down the street! Please do not hesitate to give us a call or text if you need anything. Otherwise, we like to give our guests their own space to relax and enjoy their stay.
