House was great with lots of room for our two families. Mornings looking at the lake with our morning coffee, kayaking in the daytime, with easy drives to lots of little towns. Everything felt easy — just the way you want for a vacation!

Hi julie Thanks for the nice review! I wish you had told us about the fire pit and outdoor heater -- we keep at least two spare propane bottles at each house for this very reason. We always have a full propane bottle on standby!

Well appointed house with plenty of room, outside and inside, to spread out. Updated bathrooms. There are a lot of board games , which are particularly fun to play in the screened-in gazebo! Lincolnville has a lot to offer and is close to other cute towns. There is a lot of “stuff” in the house, both practical (cookbooks, puzzle table, bar utensils) and decorative.

Pitcher Pond is my idea of heaven. And Pitcher Perfect is the best rental home we've ever stayed at! The rooms are immaculate and and there's space for everyone---8 adults. My favorite part is the big porch that wraps around the back of the house. We saw bald eagles soar overhead! And the pond itself is divine! This is our 2nd year here. Can't wait til next summer!

The house was awesome! The views of the lake are so amazing. The beds are very comfortable and the home is furnished really well. The only negative thing that we ran into were the ticks. And there were a lot of them. Other than that it is an amazing place to stay and well worth it!

This place was great for the whole family! Lots of sleeping options, we specifically liked that there were multiple spaces to relax. We thoroughly enjoyed the water views and the fire options. Things to note that if you have anyone with accessibility challenges the way to the water is a set of stairs and a hill (there is an alternative route not directly at the house with easy slope). The pond is shallow, muddy at the bottom and it’s difficult to avoid the water grass - did not stop us at all and we had lots of water fun but if that’s not your thing your should know.

My family had a great time here! We had 3 families in the home and having 3 full bathrooms was a blessing. The kitchen was well equipped and labeled. The added welcome boxes were a nice touch. The lake view was amazing and we even heard a Loon on most mornings. Getting to the bottom area of the lake was a bit challenging for the older adults but worth it. Our dogs also felt right at home. They enjoyed sitting on the deck as much as we did. Very quiet and peaceful after a day of exploring the area. Lots of space in the home where you could find a place to be alone to relax. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Our group loved the home. I especially loved that it wasn't a cookie-cutter VRBO. It was quaint and exactly what I had hoped to find in Maine. I loved the separate areas where we could gather and hang out, including the gazebo which we used quite a bit. In addition, everyone said how comfortable the beds were. As a family of book lovers, we were thrilled to see all the books in the bedrooms. My grandkids loved the bunk beds, and their parents loved being able to be so close to them while still having some privacy with the large curtain. Finally, we loved the games. Bananagrams is now a new family favorite! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Very hot when we arrived at 8 pm. Had texted the host in the morning to ask to have someone turn on the air for us since it was during the heat wave in Maine, and none of us tolerate heat well. Never got a reply and it was over 80 degrees in the House when we arrived at about 8 pm. One air conditioner upstairs was behind a bed and did not work. It was too hot in the house for us to stay there. Also, the road to the house isn't paved and it was hard to see the address on a dark rock on the ground. We couldn't park close and the ground was very uneven and difficult to walk on for those of us with mobility issues, one who has a walker. The property was not what we expected. We were unable to contact anyone, so we left the property and did not return.

We are sorry your stay did not begin as you had hoped. Your visit coincided with an exceptionally rare Maine heat wave, with temperatures far above normal. Earlier that day, you requested that we enter the home before your arrival to pre-cool it. Unfortunately, we were over two hours away completing scheduled turnovers for other guests and were unable to accommodate that request. Within minutes of your arrival, you contacted VRBO about the temperature before the air conditioning had sufficient time to cool the home. Afterward, all AC units were inspected and confirmed to be operating properly and efficiently. We also want to clarify that we were available throughout the situation. When VRBO contacted us, we responded promptly. While we understand the initial discomfort caused by the unusual weather, we could not offer a refund for a holiday weekend because the home's cooling system was functioning as intended. Our lakefront home is in one of Maine's most beautiful settings, and many guests enjoy the dock, a swim, or nearby attractions (best ice cream in Maine less than 5 miles away!) while the home cools. Even during this unusual weather event, the house reached a comfortable temperature with a little time. We appreciate all guest feedback and remain committed to providing a wonderful lakeside experience for our guests.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property and would happily stay here again. The home was cozy, comfortable, and incredibly inviting from the moment we arrived. It felt like the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the area. The location was fantastic, with easy access to everything we wanted to do. We especially appreciated having a washer and dryer on-site, which made our stay much more convenient. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, and we also loved that each bedroom had its own window air conditioning unit. Being able to adjust the temperature in each room made everyone comfortable, especially during the warmer days. The only thing we wish we had known ahead of time is that the walk down to the lake is fairly steep. If you have mobility challenges, it's something to keep in mind. I have mobility issues myself, and while I was still able to make the walk, it was definitely more challenging than I expected. For most guests this likely won't be an issue, but it's helpful information for anyone with limited mobility.Overall, this was a wonderful property that exceeded our expectations. The home was comfortable, well-equipped, and in a beautiful location. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
