This place is gorgeous inside and out! Clean, comfy and well appointed. Right on a beautiful pond. Matt, our host, was easy to communicate with. Very peaceful after spending the day sightseeing.

Shangri-la was a fantastic experience for our first trip to Maine! Peaceful lake views with fantastic temperatures made it hard to leave. The house was comfortable and well stocked. Highly recommend a visit to this Maine camp!

Matt (owner) was very responsive to any emails and was available if we needed anything but we never had to reach out. The cottage was more than well equipped, there wasn’t anything we needed that wasn’t provided. Better than described. Private, quiet location with great swimming, fishing and hiking nearby.

We have stayed in several nearby properties and Shangri-la is, by far, the best! Everything was perfection. The house is beautiful and so well equipped. The host immediately contacted us when the wi-fi went down due to a passing storm, but we were fine with being offline in such a lovely setting. This is our all time favorite spot in Maine and we hope to visit again and again!

The driveway is steep and AWD makes it easier, however we used the house for years with a 2WD minivan without issues.

A beautiful place excellently appointed with all you would ever need. The property is gorgeous and very private overlooking a beautiful lake. The kitchen appliances were magical … new or ran like new. My dog loved the place. Matthew was very available and my husband met him doting our stay. The towns of Union and Warren are very nice and close to the mid coast of Maine where we did lots of sight seeing and loved it.

This cabin and the location are phenomenal. The cabin is very well appointed and extremely comfortable. Crawford pond is beautiful. The fire pit is wonderful. Truly a fabulous place to stay.

Loved it here! Directions were great, super clean, and fully stocked. Highly recommend using the fire pit in the evening. The lake is so quiet and peaceful. Matt was very responsive when we called with a question. Would stay again!

Fabulous stay! Hope to come back someday in the summer to fully enjoy the lake. The stairs to the bedrooms and bath were steep for my older self and travel partners, but certainly manageable. Comfortable accommodations all around. 5 stars!

Absolutely Wonderful

This home was very clean and very comfortable. The area is beautiful and the loons were spectacular. Location is close to so many areas to explore, near a good grocery store, and many good restaurants. The quiet, relaxing atmosphere of this property made our stay extra special.

Great location perfect for paddling, swimming, and relaxing. Clearly a lot of care and attention went into renovating this historic cabin to modern standards. Nice furnishings and well equipped kitchen. Close to local brewpub and farmstand. Highly recommended!
