Mr. Francis was wonderful and gave us the best tour at 10pm even though our travel arrangements were late. We loved the quiet neighborhood and kind people everywhere.

The amenities and picture on the listing did not match the actual space. The listing for the 2nd floor states that it has an in-unit washer & dryer (which was my primary reason for booking as I would be biking long distances). However, instructions from the owner (emailed after we could no longer cancel) stated: “2nd Floor has no Washer/Dryer - guests can use public laundry in the neighborhood.” As of the date of this review, the listing still states that there is an in-unit washer and dryer. The bathroom pictured in the listing for the 2nd floor does not match the unit. The actual bathroom had a 1/2 size bathtub/shower, no window above the sink, peeling paint on the tiles and no mirror. As of the date of this review, the picture of the bathroom on the listing is still inaccurate. At the time of booking, the listing included a “full kitchen”, but in reality it was a kitchenette with 2 countertop burners and a microwave. The host has since updated the listing to say "Kitchenette." The top of the kitchen island (which also served as the dining table) was made of plywood and covered marble-patterned contact paper. Kitchen basics, like a drying rack for dishes or a second kitchen towel, were missing. The quality of this rental was far below my expectations for a Vrbo property and I would not stay here again.

Working with a VRBO representative, we had gone through the listing information we entered ourselves and which is visible to us and we found that there was no where we claimed 2nd floor had full kitchen. We always maintained that there is only a kitchenette and that the unit has no washer/dryer (there is washer/dry only in 1st floor). Since we cannot see what the booking guest sees, we asked the VRBO staff to remove anything that does not match what we specifically entered, and to remove anything that is computer generated which we did not enter. We are still waiting for this issue to be resolved by VRBO staff. While hundreds of guests have given great reviews of our Pleasantville New York apartment, Jenny's perceptions is one of the outliers. We would rather rent to those who respect other people's property than to those who disrespect others' property, even after the property has helped them accomplish the purpose and goals of their travel. We would not welcome Jenny back.
