About the host

We've been part of the Lake Tahoe community since 1988, right here in Incline is where we grew up. This is our first listing on VRBO, and we're excited to share our little corner of the lake with travelers who want to experience the heart of the NorthShore, Incline Village.

Being hosts gives us a chance to offer folks ideas on "the spots" we've come to know & love—whether it's catching a quiet lakeside paddle, finding a good trail, or hitting the slopes. We've got a few favorites tucked away that make the trip feel special. And since Tahoe's shores offer a different experience here's a quick breakdown of places to explore *tip: pack layers, the microclimates around the lake can shift fast.

North Shore (mostly California side, with a bit of Nevada): Laid-back mountain-town feel with historic charm in nearby Truckee, plus solid skiing at spots like Diamond Peak or Palisades Tahoe. It's great for sunny days biking trails or relaxing on clear-water beaches like those along the East Shore Trail—think peaceful hikes to hidden coves without the big crowds.

South Shore (straddling California-Nevada stateline): Buzzing with energy! Heavenly Village is your launchpad for gondola rides and casinos on the Nevada side (where you can legally roll the dice after a day on the slopes). Fun fact: The stateline here splits the lake's deepest point—over 1,600 feet deep—making it North America's largest alpine lake by volume.

East Shore (Nevada side): Pristine and peaceful, with crystal-clear coves like Sand Harbor for epic snorkeling or picnics. Fun fact: This shore's boulders were formed by ancient volcanoes, and it's where you'll find the famous "Monkey Rock" formation—looks just like a gorilla overlooking the water.

West Shore (California side): Scenic stunner central, Emerald Bay's iconic island (the only one in the lake) and Vikingsholm Castle, a Nordic-style mansion. Fun fact: Paddle out to Fannette Island for tea house-it's like stepping into a fairy tale.

Why they chose this property

It's in the heart of town. We can get down to the lake quick for those the classic morning walks down Lakeshore Drive, views of the lake peeking through, pine trees everywhere, and that crisp air that makes everything feel fresh. It's easy to step out for a coffee or a quick bite, stop off at the Hyatt or go through the shops and then wander back the building without driving. In the summer, you can bike anywhere in town and the area has that lively but low-key buzz—people heading to the beach or trails nearby—while winter brings an easy pick up for the diamond peak slopes or winter adventures at the Château.

What makes this property unique

The building sits next to the Incline Public House from Alibi Ale Works, a local favorite for craft beers, pizza, and community events and some nights there is live music nights or casual gatherings. Guests can pop over for a drink or event without planning a big outing, yet it's still quiet enough at the property for a real unwind. It's the best of both: central to town life and adventures, but with that peaceful Tahoe retreat vibe when you close the door. Perfect for folks who want easy access to everything the North Shore offers.
