Glidden Cottage -Beach Access!

Our cottage is situated on the "quiet side" of Door County on the meandering Glidden drive along the Lake Michigan shoreline. The cottage is perched upon a small hill and surrounded by pine trees in a relaxed country setting. Guests have dedicated access to the beach right accross the street. The sand beach provides for an excellent location for kayaking, sunbathing, swimming, and walks. Glidden cottage is only five miles from Sturgeon Bay.

The host was very nice and replied in a timely manner. The cabin is in a beautiful setting and is very comfortable. The stove worked ok but is old.

This was an amazing trip and a great place to stay. It was easy to find and get in to. I thought that the view would be facing Lake Michigan but it wasn't though the beach was a short walk. I liked the small touches like the goodies and coffee. The queen bed was comfortable but not the most stable for adult activities. The fire place was a really great touch. I like that there was a TV but it was not the center focus of the space. The back room with full windows and a futon was perfect for relaxation, reflection, and looking at nature. The sink/stove/fridge worked well and there was ample quality kitchen utensils. Overall, it was perfect for a getaway and I'd recommend it as a nice space for reflection and connection.
