About this property

4 Bedroom, 4 Bath Remodeled Historical Home Located On Lake Minocqua

Come for the cool summers and enjoy all that Minocqua and the Northwoods has to offer. Fishing, swimming, sunning, boating, shopping and relaxing are just a few things you can expect when you lease our wonderful historic home right on Lake Minocqua and the 6,000 acre chain of 4 lakes.

Home was built for Casey Lambert, who was quite a character, (see more information below) in 1906 and has been totally updated.

You can walk to town and the 17 mile hiking, biking and walking Bearskin Trail is nearby. Experience the excellent dining opportunities in the area or kick back, cook out and stay home.

Two large screened porches overlook the lake and our permanent dock where you can tie up at least 3 boats. Kitchen is equipped with every thing you need and all rooms are large and charming.

We are located on over an acre level lot with towering white and red pine trees that are at least 100 years old. Also the private road offers peace and quiet. There is 215' of shoreline with sandy lake bottom. We face Southeast so if the sun is shining, we get it all day!

Two bicycles and two kayaks are available for your use. Plenty parking available.

Come listen to the loons, watch the eagles soar, and create your memories. We know you will love it!

Al and I live in Dallas and fell in love with Minocqua about 3 years ago after vacationing in the Northwoods to escape the summer heat of Texas. We are both still working which is the reason we are making our home available for summer lease. Al is an engineer and after retirement he started an executive search firm (EPC Combine) with a partner. I retired after owning a real estate company for 25+ years and am a Realtor with Ebby Halliday Company. We love all the wonderful things about the area and plan to spend as much time there as possible with our children, grandchildren and friends.

Why they chose this property

This is the former home of Casey Lambert, a legend in the area whose friends and guests included Charles Lindberg, Elizabeth Taylor and President Dwight Eisenhower. Marvel at the beauty of Lake Minocqua, a destination for generations for families from all around the world.

A classic log home, once the guest lodging of the Lambert Estate, icons of the Roberto Lambert legacy Listerene fame. Home built in the early 1900's offers character rarely found. It's owners have dedicated themselves to maintaining the elegance of a previous era while upgrading with every modern convenience. Stately logs harvested from the forests surround updated kitchen and bathrooms, Wrap around porches, fire pit and play area for the younger ones are just a few of the amenities. The deck on the 3 boat dock allows a spot for enjoying family and friends out on the water.

Casey and his friends of old entertained the elite with elegant garden parties, unique water toys and behavior which is still talked about.

What makes this property unique

We chose this property after looking each time we visited the area. Some I loved and Al didn't, some he liked and I couldn't stand! When we walked into this home we both said 'this is it'. It has everything we both wanted; starting with an oversized 3 car garage with craft room for me and work area for Al. It also has a floored second story providing wonderful storage which could be converted into a game room or bunk area for grandchildren. The guest house is adorable, the large lot is beautiful and private. The character of the house is perfect for us and something we were seeking with its open dining room/living room, 2 fireplaces, wood floors, screened porches overlooking the lawn and lake. Kitchen is very up to date as well and the bathrooms. Basement has spot to build wine cave to house 1300 bottles! Perfect for us!
