About the host
Hosted by Solmaz Celik McDowell
Hello Everyone, I was born and raised in Mediterranean part of Turkiye. Went to college and grad school in Istanbul. I love swimming, gardening and also recycling old wood furnitures. You will see me working in my workshop (old pool house) working on a new project :) Turkish culture is famous for hospitality and being friendly to everyone and we want our guest to feel comfortable. I believe being a host is part of my nature. Hope that you will enjoy staying in our place.
Why they chose this property
Even though Brockton is known as the "City if Champions" for its boxing history, it used to be home for many shoes companies in 19th century. The neighborhood you will be staying located in West Side and also Historical Part of Brockton. According to the previous owner, the house you will be staying were built by one of Reebok Shoe Company owners. Our neighbors has similar stories. You should definitely take a walk around the neighborhood.
What makes this property unique
The house is like an oasis in the city, beautiful garden full of flowers and salt water pool (for summer) It is fenced and plus surrounded by arbor trees for the privacy. You can also pick your desired vegetable from the garden. I love sharing my vegetables with my guests during the summer. Moreover It is easy to access Route 24 and highways, 5 minutes drive to the Mall and also to downtown. The local bus#9 stop in front of the house goes downtown and MBTA Commuter Rail which goes directly to Boston. I highly recommend you to see Fuller Craft Museum if you are going to walk in D.W Field Park. There are many Cape Verdean and Haitian Restaurants. Our favorites, Salo, Luanda, Preto's Island Cuisine, Cabo Vegan and also Italian Restaurant Corfinio on Easton Border.
