Cozy upstairs suite in downtown Damascus, VA. “The Appalachian” is one of three private suites at Lodge 1759, just steps from the Creeper Trail, Appalachian Trail, and local dining.

Located in a multi-unit property, so some normal footstep noise may be heard. Includes a basic kitchenette (no sink or stove) with microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker—ideal for light meals and quick bites.

We had a fantastic stay! We enjoyed a whole week at Lodge 1759 as a family of four and loved it! Comfortable, clean, cozy, and the bottom entry way was perfect to store our fishing gear.

We loved our stay at The Lodge! It was a lovely experience all around. Enjoyed the front yard and the cleanliness and availability of small toiletries in bathroom. Check in and out was easy. We appreciate the host letting us extend our stay to a night early last minute. Super responsive to messages and accommodating. Laundry was a great bonus. The rental was so comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in the suite. We highly recommend The Lodge! Also great proximity to town and the Appalachian Trail.

This was a cute little gem tucked away in the middle of Damascus. It was perfect for our group of four. We were in town to see a fabulous show at the Barter theater and a stained-glass class at the glass peacock. I highly recommend these activities in near-by Abingdon, as well as, the lodge in Damascus.
