Welcome to Sloth House, a modern 2-bedroom jungle retreat located within the private shared property known as Happy Camp, nestled in the exclusive Las Huacas community in Nosara, Costa Rica. Designed for travelers seeking comfort, nature, and easy access to Playa Guiones, this peaceful home offers a relaxing base just minutes from world-class surf, yoga studios, restaurants, and local adventures.

Sloth House is one of two private homes on the Happy Camp property. While each home offers its own private indoor living spaces, guests enjoy access to the beautiful shared outdoor areas, including a refreshing pool, jungle patios, and tranquil terraces surrounded by lush tropical greenery. The minimalist architecture blends seamlessly with the natural environment, allowing guests to feel immersed in the jungle while enjoying modern comforts.

Whether you’re planning a surf trip, yoga getaway, remote-work escape, or family vacation, Sloth House provides a comfortable and peaceful setting to experience the magic of Nosara.

GROUP BOOKINGS

For larger groups, both Happy Camp homes can be reserved together, accommodating up to 12 guests. This setup offers privacy for individual families or couples, along with shared outdoor spaces perfect for gathering and relaxing.

LOCAL QUIRKS | WHAT TO EXPECT

Life in Nosara is relaxed and full of charm — but it comes with a few quirks! You may experience dust, bugs, or brief power, water, or internet outages. Construction noise is also possible between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. as the area continues to grow.

If reliable internet is essential, consider adding a mobile data plan. Please note that local septic systems don’t allow toilet paper to be flushed — bins are provided.

These are normal aspects of life in Costa Rica and outside our control, so refunds aren’t offered for such occurrences.

SAFETY & CANCELLATION

While we honor our cancellation policy, processing fees are non-refundable for guest-initiated cancellations.

Petty theft can occur, so please keep doors locked, valuables secured, and use alarms or security bars when available. A private guard can be arranged upon request.

Even with precautions, theft can happen. Rent Nosara, the homeowner, and the property manager cannot be held responsible for lost items.
