About this property

The Snug in Pinetop Arizona: Tranquil 2 bedroom cabin with fenced in yard

Tucked beneath towering ponderosa pines on a quiet residential loop, The Snug is a cozy mountain cabin that offers the perfect blend of comfort, character, and White Mountain adventure. With two queen bedrooms, three outdoor living spaces, and a fully fenced yard, it's a rare find in Pinetop. The Snug is an ideal retreat for couples, small families, anglers, hikers, and anyone looking to slow down and enjoy mountain life. Just minutes from Pinetop restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, shopping and local attractions, The Snug feels worlds away from the busy main drag while remaining close to everything you'll want to explore.
THE ORIGIN STORY

The Snug is more than a vacation rental, it's a dwelling built on a dream. My parents owned this land for many years before building the Snug. They camped here through countless summers, dreaming of a place they could someday call their own. My dad, a skilled homebuilder, eventually designed and built this cabin as a summer retreat for my mom, a beloved Tucson schoolteacher and dedicated community volunteer.

She wanted a cabin that felt connected to nature without the dustiness of a traditional log cabin or the work of a wood burning fireplace. The result is bright, comfortable, and easy-to-love home, with an electric stone fireplace for cozy evenings and large windows that bring the outdoors in.

My mom filled the cabin with eclectic mountain and Native inspired touches and created places to sit outside and enjoy the cool mountain air. She loved starting her mornings with a cup of hot water and lemon, watching sunlight filter through the pines from the gazebo. She passed away nine years ago but the peaceful ambiance she created still remains: a place designed for slowing down, reconnecting, and appreciating life's simple pleasures.

I love being a host! My absolute favorite part is sharing beautiful and sweet spaces with people that help create great memories for them.

Why they chose this property

It’s pretty incredible that Arizona has such natural diversity. Pinetop is a great escape from the heat in the summer. And the winter is also a time to visit. You can enjoy skiing and snowboarding and all those activities that many people don’t realize are possible in Arizona!

What makes this property unique

The snug is unique as it is within a couple miles of various restaurants, music venues, grocery stores, etc. but at any time of the day you can sit in the gazebo and here nothing but the breeze through the trees. It is in a safe and mellow neighborhood in Pinetop, but it is also very central to the most popular spots on the mountain.
