Floridia is a small town in the province of Syracuse on the east coast of Sicily. It was founded in 1628 and is characterized by a typical Mediterranean landscape. The sandy beach of Fontane Bianche and the beautiful rocky coast can be reached by car in about 15 minutes. A trip to the nature reserve of Vendicari, about 40 kilometers away, a mix of lagoons, sand dunes, rocky coasts and sandy beaches, is also recommended. You can also visit the baroque town of Noto, which was almost completely destroyed by an earthquake in the 17th century and then completely rebuilt.
