We designed Wanderer's Rest to solve the biggest problems of large group travel. For this 5-bedroom listing, we wanted to build a space where 14 people could stay comfortably (real beds!), cook easily in a chef-ready kitchen, and relax completely in a home that feels both historic and functional.
To ensure you have a flawless 5-star experience, we partner with our fantastic co-host, Chloe. Chloe manages our guest communications and is your go-to contact for local recommendations or questions during your stay. While you will likely hear from her first, please know we are all working together to make your visit perfect!
We designed Wanderer's Rest to solve the biggest problems of large group travel. For this 5-bedroom listing, we wanted to build a space where 14 people could stay comfortably (real beds!), cook easily in a chef-ready kitchen, and relax completely in a home that feels both historic and functional.

Why they chose this property
Wanderer's Rest offers a rare combination of history, modern comfort, and pure play. It is not often you find a 1910 home with preserved original woodwork that also features a custom indoor climbing wall and monkey bars for the kids! We designed this space specifically to solve the common pain points of large group travel.
THE GATHERING HUB: We provided a massive dining table so all 14 guests can share a meal together—something a hotel block simply cannot offer. The chef-ready kitchen is stocked for big breakfasts and holiday dinners, ensuring the "work" of travel is easy.
SPACE FOR EVERYONE: With 5 distinct bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, we offer the perfect balance of togetherness and privacy. Whether you are an introvert looking for a quiet nook in the Paris Suite or part of the "fun crowd" in the Machu Picchu room, there is a zone for you.
WALKABLE VILLAGE LIVING: Our location is our greatest amenity. You can park up to 4 cars in our private lot and never touch your keys again. You are a 5-minute stroll from Grace College graduation, Village festivals, artisan dining, and the beach.
UNMATCHED OUTDOOR SPACE: Between the multiple covered porches, the private fenced yard with a playset, and the seasonal garden, you have a private oasis in the center of Winona Lake. We built the place we wanted to stay in—full of character, designed for families, and steps from the best trails in Indiana.

Located just steps from the Limitless Park Splash Pad, Beach, and the 10+ miles of Winona Lake Greenway trails, you are in the heart of the Village while enjoying the quiet privacy of a historic neighborhood.
