Welcome to Sunset Escape at Badin Lake, a beautiful water view vacation home in Badin Shores Resort. What better place to relax and enjoy the sunsets. This 3-bedroom, 2 bath home has two living and two full kitchens, along with two separate patios. Badin Lake is a 5300-acre lake where you can enjoy boating, fishing, swimming and more. This private gated resort provides amenities that the entire family will enjoy. Your stay will certainly be filled with relaxation and endless amounts of fun!

Sunset Escape will provide the essentials, two fully equipped kitchens, Wifi (5 Smart-TV's), board games, and kayaks for your pleasure. The Uhwarrie National Forest is close by which is great for hiking, biking, horseback riding, etc. The NC Asheboro Zoo is about 30-40 mins from the resort.

Parking:

There is plenty of parking at the home that will accommodate up to 6 vehicles, less if you are planning to bring in a boat or watercraft.

The Resort:

Badin Shores Resort is a private gated community made up of mostly modular houses, park models, tiny homes and RV/Campers.

Amenities Include:

*On-site restaurant Joey's Grill and Tap (Important to check opening hours/days)
*Beach Area ~ Boardwalk
*Marina with day slips (subject to availability, first come first served with a 3-hour maximum)
*Pool (with separate kiddie pool), Pool open dates can vary but normally Memorial Day -Labor Day. (Subject to periodic closures due to unforeseen events such as inclement weather or for maintenance. Pool area is monitored, but there are no lifeguards. Eight (8) pool bracelets are provided. Lost pool bracelets will be subject to a $25 fee per bracelet
*Badin Shores Chapel

*Sport courts (basketball, sand volleyball, ball field)

*18-hole putt-putt course
*RC Car track (bring your own equipment)

Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire home EXCEPT for the locked closet in the master bedroom upstairs, outdoor shed, outdoor closet and Evolution Limo golf cart. There is a 4 seater, Yamaha golf cart that can be utilized by Guests. There are two closets in the home where hanging clothes can be kept and dressers/drawers in each bedroom for your use.


Caution:

There are multiple steps outside to access the home. Please use caution when going up and down. We also have a spiral staircase inside which one should take extra pre-caution with children. Please do not climb or sit on balcony railings or the dog lot fence. If you choose to use the firepit, please make sure you put the fire out when you are not utilizing it for the safety of our home and the surrounding neighbors.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please leave all dirty linens/towels downstairs by the washer and dryer upon departure.
Trash must be taken to the dumpsters. They are located on the way out across the street from the dog potty area.
Please turn off all lights. Lock all doors and place all keys back inside the lockbox.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

This place sits on a double lot and feels super spacious—definitely one of the bigger spots in the area, with really beautiful sunset views. The outdoor space is great too: there’s a gas grill, a small fenced-in area for pets, three kayaks with life vests for getting out on the water, and the best egg chair for just hanging out and reading.Inside, it’s nicely done with thoughtful decor and all the comforts of home. There’s plenty of space between the upper and lower floors, and having a second kitchen downstairs is a big plus if you’re staying with extended family or a group.The golf cart is also a nice perk since it’s a bit of a trek (and pretty hilly) getting to the marina or clubhouse.We enjoyed our stay, even though it was brief! Between getting out on the water and having the zoo just a quick drive away, there was plenty to do for our long weekend stay.

Sunset Escape is a beautifully decorated, well stocked, and cozy gathering place with peaceful views! The property is easy to find and access if you read the host's thoughtfully crafted instructions; but no worries, if you don't, Emily is super responsive. The spiral staircase between levels is tight and slippery, so use caution or be prepared to go the long way around. This gorgeous home sits on a well utilized lot with outdoor space for everyone in our party of 7 (aged 5 - 82). We brought our own wood/fire starters and thorougly enjoyed the fire pit and citronella candles! The dog run and grassy areas were free of pet waste. Beds and linen were comfy and clean. They have everything you need! Just bring your clothes, good food/drinks and be ready for a good time! This property is even more impressive in person! (Thanks again, Emily and family, for helping us celebrate GiGi's 82nd birthday together!)
