True 360-degree mountain views. A fantasy Hogwarts Dormitory for the kids. A 19-seat VIP movie theater. Two fully-stocked themed taverns (the Fox & Hound and the Mardi Gras Bar). Over 5,000 square feet on a private ridge-top in Wears Valley, bordering the Smoky Mountain National Park. This is Pimalai Lodge — and it is not a typical Smoky Mountain cabin.
6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms (5 full, 2 half), and room for up to 30 guests. Reborn bigger, better, and more unforgettable after a 2020 fire, Pimalai Lodge was rebuilt specifically with large families, reunions, milestone celebrations, and multi-generational group trips in mind — a destination in itself, not just a place to sleep.
WHAT MAKES PIMALAI DIFFERENT
TRUE 360° VIEWS — Pimalai sits on top of a mountain ridge with panoramic views in every direction. One outdoor deck looks across Wears Valley to Bluff Mountain and the Smoky Mountain range. A second deck faces the National Park. Sunrises on one side, sunsets on the other. This is one of the few true 360-degree view properties in the Smokies.
HOGWARTS DORMITORY — A fantasy bedroom built specifically for kids (and the kid in every adult). Eight twin bunk beds arranged as a true Hogwarts-style dormitory, each draped in the colors of the four houses — Gryffindor red, Hufflepuff yellow, Slytherin green, Ravenclaw blue — with stone walls, house crests, and enchanted details throughout. Full bathroom attached. Kids will not want to leave.
19-SEAT VIP MOVIE THEATER — A true private cinema experience — accommodates 19, built with theater-quality picture, sound, and stadium seating. Perfect for movie nights with the whole group.
TWO THEMED TAVERNS — The Fox & Hound Tavern (upper level) is a British pub-style gaming space, complete with a classic red British phone booth, pool table, and games. The Mardi Gras Bar (ground level) is a New Orleans-inspired recreation room with wet bar, poker table, and sitting area around a gas fireplace. Both are fully equipped and feel more like private venues than anything you'd expect in a cabin.
GAMES & ENTERTAINMENT — Pool table, air hockey, foosball, shuffleboard, darts, and an upright arcade machine loaded with classic games. Multiple recreation zones across three levels so adults and kids can spread out and do their own thing.
OUTDOOR LIVING — Over 3,000 square feet of finished outdoor space. Wraparound decks, a two-story gazebo with outdoor kitchen and fireplace, a 7-person hot tub, and multiple seating areas positioned to take in views of Wears Valley, Bluff Mountain, and the Smoky Mountain range. A second outdoor deck faces the National Park — breathtaking views in every direction.
LAYOUT & SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
MAIN LEVEL — The heart of Pimalai. A dramatic great room with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Smokies, a mirrored gas fireplace, and a fully equipped chef's kitchen with large dining area — designed for group meals. Wraparound deck access. Two king bedrooms on this level, both with ensuite bathrooms.
UPPER LEVEL — Second recreation area, the Fox & Hound Tavern with games, and the fantasy Hogwarts Dormitory (8 twin bunk beds) with attached full bathroom.
GROUND LEVEL — The Mardi Gras Bar recreation room with wet bar, poker table, and gas fireplace; the 19-seat VIP movie theater; plus two large bedrooms (one with 2 king beds, one with 2 queen beds), both with ensuite bathrooms.
FOX & HOUND SLEEPER — Additional sleeping in the Fox & Hound Tavern: 1 twin bed, 1 double futon, and 1 sleeper sofa for overflow guests.

The property was in a great location and had all of the amenities we were looking for. It had plenty of space to spread out but also big enough gathering spaces for when we were together. It snowed while we were there and it was a great place to hang out and enjoy during the snow. The only issue we had was resolved quickly with good communication.
