Escape to the sun

Lovely weekend away with three kids. Enjoyed walks in the desert, food the local escape room and of course the pool and the sun. Place was exactly as advertised and fit the five of us well

Photos of house were a bit misleading and was disappointed in finding out the pool was an additional fee (which I’m not totally uncommon) but then the host company was argumentative when I asked them to turn it on and they said that was no longer an option once we arrived. Eventually agreed to turn on and prorate, but it was too late and we would have had to pay for it to ‘warm up’ for a day or two. Also, pool table was in a tiny room where you couldn’t shoot without hitting a wall on two sides of the table. Kitchen did have lots of dishes and cooking utensils (minus a broken can opener). House is older than the photos depict (as with many vrbos so just know it’s not as nice as the pictures make it out to be). Also, sheets had blood stains in them- gross. Nice quiet neighborhood and next to a small park. Not terrible- just read all the reviews and look at current photos before booking. And ask to have the pool heated BEFORE you go .

Exceptional Property w/an even Better Location

We booked this property for a last minute quick trip for our anniversary. The fact that dogs are welcome was a huge factor in our decision to book. However, we were instantly blown away with it's well thought out layout and appointments. Our fur babies absolutely loved their stay as well. The yard was completely walled in which was perfect to turn them loose to just be dogs. The pool and spa were great and the pool table was a nice added bonus. We would highly recommend this property for couples, dog lovers and families. If you're looking for a backyard scene this probably isn't the property for you. But, if you're looking for beautiful quiet, place to escape...well then this is exactly the property for you.

Disappointing.

We found it to be in a great neighborhood, Racquet Club, but the house was a little shabby inside and has seen better days. The air conditioning goes no lower than 74, which when outside it’s 104 should have an option be cooler. The bathrooms are outdated with very awkward showers. The pool area does not look like the photos on the website. The loungers (no yellow covers to be seen) were dirty with grime, sticky drink spills and even footprints. The ‘Spa’ has no jets or heat and just an extension of the pool. The house was clean inside and the beds comfortable. I think for the price, we have rented much nicer updated properties in that area of PS.

Went for Mother’s Day!

Overall we had a good stay. The pool was the best part! Awesome pool. Nice addition having the umbrella as well. They had plenty of towels available that were nice. They had big smart TVs in each room. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. Great grill! Bathrooms has hair products available. Some cons: you can hear the Main Street from the 3 bedrooms so not ideal for light sleepers. The sheets and blankets were great but the mattress were hard and made lots of noise with movement. The fans in the room made tik tik sounds and the AC was set to only go as low as 74. It is an older house, showers/bathrooms are older.

Cute Pool Bungalow

The house is clean and cute. The homeowners left a sweet note and a bottle of wine, which was awesome! The Alexander Homes were built in the 50’s so the pipes are old and slow. They remind you to not flush anything other than toilet paper. It rained one day while we were there and there were some leaks in the pool table room but Vacasa was very responsive and said they would get it fixed, hopefully they did. Other than that, the house was great and the views of the snow capped mountains were beautiful! We paid the extra money to heat the pool and spa and it was so worth it! Would definitely consider staying there again

Good location, cute house in Palm Springs

Review for the house itself: Great location, very clean, cute and stylish. Great yard and pool. The house is old and we had some issues with the laundry machine and some leaks when it rained, but nothing major. We payed extra to heat the pool and spa and enjoyed them both. It probably isn't the best house for young toddlers/ babies, but we made it work! Review for Vacasa: Very difficult to get a hold of anyone before our trip and when we ran into issues during the trip. Everyone we interacted with was nice, but the inability to get a hold of someone in a timely fashion was frustrating, especially considering how pricey the stay was.

Don’t use vacasa

Check in was a complete mess- waited outside with wrong codes for well over an hour. Internet went out for last two days - contacted help desk said they would send someone out and call us back- never called back or came. Left something at the property have yet to hear from them on how to get it back. WORST COMPANY EVER.

The listing is misleading. I specifically chose this house due to the photos of the pool which did not match the reality of the property. The photo shows 3 umbrellas, there was only one. The photos show lounge chair cushions, there weren’t any. The photos shows two yellow pool floats, there was only one blue one. We had five guests with one pool float and one umbrella to provide shade. I paid more money to stay at this property based on the pool photos and it did not deliver what was depicted in the photos. I reached out to Vacasa within an hour of checking in about the pool cushions. Although they responded, there was no resolution. The cushions were not where they said they would be. When I sent a photo they said “Okay, sorry.” That’s it. The inside was as advertised. Cool retro decorating, comfortable beds. Great backyard for our dog. It’s a great property, but proved the amenities as advertised in the photos please.

We were thankful that this property let us bring our pug, the backyard had a nice grassy area. It was hot, unusually hot and only two of the fans worked, the AC would not let us go below 76. The pool was dirty, we cleaned it everyday but we could not get all the stuff at the bottom of the pool. We checked in on Saturday and the pool guy can Friday evening- it had already been a week and we were leaving the next day. Honestly I would stay elsewhere next time, I think there are cleaner and not as tired properties with in the same budget. One of the loungers outside was broken, not very comfortable pool furniture.

Mid-Century getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It had all the amenities we needed, the pool was great, and it definitely had a mid-century vibe. There is easy access to downtown, restaurants, and the airport. We appreciated the privacy of the yard and pool. A view of the mountains from the pool is a plus.

Perfect location

The house was perfect for our group of 4. The dog loved it! He could come in and out of the house in the fenced yard without worry. Kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pans, utensils, towels, etc. Enjoyed playing pool after dinner and wind down, and cornhole during the day was a highlight. Nicely decorated Alexander home. This house fits our needs. Would easily work with 6 people too. Close to downtown, 1 block to a very nice park. We would return.

We loved the location and privacy of this house. Our family was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The only problem was the pool heater did not work for 2 days. The view of the mountains from this house is very nice.

Beautiful home in a good location

This is a beautiful home in a lovely midcentury neighborhood. It's only a few minutes to downtown Palm Springs. The home is well appointed and comfortable, with a spacious backyard and fun game room with a pool table. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

An Alexander!

I have always wanted to be in an Alexander home and that house did not disappoint. It was quaint, and it had comfortable amenities. It was far enough from downtown so it was quiet yet close enough to be where the action is in 10 mins. All the information about our stay were provided and all communications were easy and requests/actions were prompt. We trully enjoyed staying in Palm Springs bungalow.

I love everything , the house was great , clean , easy access , close to everything . Super Private . Great kitchen. We love the pool table.. The only thing , is the TV's are not very good.. Hard to figure it out , and no easy access , we figure it out but it time consuming ..
