The cabin is fully off-grid, powered by solar energy, with no cell service and accessed by a dirt road—an intentional setting designed for complete disconnection and immersion in nature.
At 12,100 feet above sea level, Casa Copilli offers a rare high-alpine experience with the comfort of a refined stay. Unlike most destinations where you only reach these elevations briefly, here you settle into it—waking amongst bird song, breathing crisp mountain air, and ending the day under clear, star-filled skies.
Your host, will personally greet you on arrival, guide you along the final stretch of the road, and walk you through everything you need—so your experience feels seamless from the start.

GUEST ACCESS, IMPORTANT Drive along Paso de Cortes - a path forged around 1519 during the conquest - connecting Mexico City with Puebla by cutting through the volcanos.
From Mexico City: Arrive to Amecameca, 1 hour drive along road + 15 minutes unpaved. From Cholula, Puebla: 1 hour drive along road + 15 minutes unpaved.
IMPORTANT - CHECK IN TIME: Between 3:00pm-6:30pm (spring/summer) 3:00pm-5:30pm (fall/winter)
We are happy to extend an early check-in whenever possible at no extra cost. Arrival time must be confirmed at least one day in advance, as there is no phone signal in the mountains. This is not a hotel with a reception—your host will meet you at a designated point. If your arrival time isn’t coordinated or changes unexpectedly, it will be difficult to connect. We offer a 1.5-hour grace period for check-in based on the previously agreed time. After that, an additional charge of $500 pesos will apply for every extra hour.
Check-in must take place within the times listed above (unless early check-in extended). The cabin is reached by an unpaved forest road and the neighborhood gates close in the evening, so arriving after dark isn’t feasible. Planning your arrival earlier ensures a smooth welcome—and lets you catch your first sunset!

VISITORS The cabin is located within a gated community. For safety reasons and out of respect, no outside guests are allowed without prior notice and approval. Any indication that more people were on the property than those approved in the reservation will result in an additional charge and penalty. Parties are not allowed under any circumstances.
HOW TO GET THERE Your host will share directions and a map before your arrival. Download the location before heading up. Host will meet you at the parking lot of the park to assist you to the cabin and give you a quick welcome tour.
It’s important to note that a portion of the road is dirt, and while 4x4 vehicles are an advantage, they are not necessary. Cars can drive up with caution, but if you have a small car, it’s recommended to carry light load. Also, it’s essential to check in advance that your car is in good condition for the trip.
OUR INVITATION The cabin is well equipped and thought out to provide everything you might need. The games, instruments, puzzles, and coloring books are for connecting with your inner child, enjoy. Blankets, warm clothes, and hats are available for use, please do not take them with you.
WEATHER The cabin is located 12,100 feet above sea level, with crisp air and warm sun, Think: Cusco, or the tallest peaks of Aspen!

RULES AND GENERAL NOTES FOR A BETTER STAY: - Dress in layers and pack for the cold If you’re sensitive to low temperatures. - The sun can be intense during the day, don’t skip sunscreen. - Don’t let yourself get dehydrated; it’s very important at these altitudes. - Be mindful of your water/electricity usage - it’s not about being strict, but remember that they’re not unlimited, as we depend on water trucks/solar panels. - There’s no fridge, but there is a gas stove top. - Wake for sunrise from the comfort of your bed in the loft. - Electricity use is limited to lights and chargers only. The use of appliances or any other high-consumption devices is not allowed - Do not cook in the fireplace (exception: marshmallows); you can use the gas stove top or the outdoor campfire. - Smoking tobacco inside the cabin is not allowed. - Please make sure not to take any items from the cabin on purpose or by accident. - There are checklists for arrival and departure, as well as dog rules.
EMERGENCIES - Cell signal? Walk 30 meters down the street, to the left (toward the cabin in front). If you’re lucky, you will little signal to send a message. - There is an emergency kit in the bathroom. - There’s a fire extinguisher under the sink and another one under the stairs. - Go down to the restaurant and ask for help.
