We travel from Colorado to visit our family & friends from Ohio. Very difficult to get the various families to commit to a date / time / event for visiting while we are in the area. We rented this home and invited them all to come by anytime they wanted . Took all the hassles out of coordinating with all of them. We were centrally located - they came and went as they liked. This home was right on the lake shore - very relaxing - had everything we needed. A lot of private areas for those needing to take a nap and a few opted to spend a night with us. The kayaks were great fun - golf and a nice park were within walking distance. Johnny - the owner was very responsive when I had a few questions. We rented a pontoon boat one afternoon. Had a potluck Thanksgiving Dinner on one afternoon - great to break bread with a lot of family & friends. Parking is a bit tight -but with a bit of foresight and communication - we used the nearby boat ramp parking area and it worked out great. The open deck, the covered porch and the living room / kitchen combo provided all of us a place to visit with one another in a setting we liked the best. My favorite visiting spot was the deck. Street traffic was minimal - no real danger for the children. Everything we needed (in the way of utensils, etc,) to have a group Thanksgiving Dinner was available in the cottage. The public golf course was 4 blocks away - we loved playing golf there. We were there in mid Oct and the leaves were beautiful !

We had a fantastic time at John‘s place. It was very clean and very accommodating and location was excellent right off of the water and even close to a coffee shop and walking distance to rent a boat and bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend his place for your next stay. John was also super helpful when I texted to ask a couple questions.
