The Octagon on the Beach



The Space:

This stunningly engineered two-story home offers an oceanfront location with unsurpassed views and a unique octagon-shaped construction. Sunshine fills the main level, and panoramic views stretch all the way from the mouth of the Columbia River to the north to Tillamook Head just south of Seaside. The beach and ocean surround you, with beach access just outside.



On the main level, you'll find a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, plus two beautifully appointed bedrooms, one with its own bathroom. You'll also have a spacious, sun-filled living room and dining area, plus another full bathroom. In the center of the home is a spiral staircase that leads down to the lower level, with two more bedrooms and a full bath. You'll marvel at the structural beams that give this home its unique distinction. You'll have plenty of outdoor space as well. With a wraparound deck in the front, perfect for sun worshiping and picnics. Another deck in the back is perfect for the morning cup of coffee and newspaper.

Everything was perfect! The house was clean, the kitchen is well stocked with dishes and spices, and the beds were very comfortable. The view is gorgeous as well you can’t go wrong by staying here. Proximity to the beach and town is also great.

The home was big enough for our group of 8 with 2 being children. The view was gorgeous! The kitchen was well stocked for what we needed and the washer and dryer were nice and new. The basement was not what we were expecting. The two beds (queen and twin) were in a more open area with an accordion-style divider. The room had the door that led to the outside with no way to lock the inside so I wasn’t comfortable with my 2 and 4 year old sleeping in there. The house also had sat a few days and the basement wasn’t cleaned properly. There were quite a few dead roly poly bugs in the floor. Harmless, but definitely not clean. When I reached out to Vacasa, I didn’t hear back until the next morning but someone did get back to me and gave a partial refund for the cleaning. We have rented from Vacasa before and haven’t had issues, and the service was a positive. We will probably choose a different home next time.
