Welcome to Camp Glenn! A historic neighborhood, centrally located in the center of all that The Crystal Coast has to offer! This neighborhood was originally established over 100-years ago as an army base where NC soldiers lived and trained. This lovely 3-bed, 1-bath home with outdoor shower, is filled with original local artwork and antiques, making your stay feel warm and comfortable. Quiet residential neighborhood ideal for dog walking, so bring along well behaved Fido if you like (see restrictions and fee). This home is ideal for a family, or small group, looking to spend their vacation out on the boat or just relaxing on Shackleford Island as you’ll be a mere 500’ from public boat ramp. Easy pull through trailer parking on property for trailers 28’ max. Off-street parking for 2-vehicles as well. Enjoy your own home cooked meals in the spacious and newly renovated chef’s kitchen with screened porch and deck with gas grill. Please note: property does NOT have a TV. Bring your bikes or walking shoes as it’s only 2-miles down bucolic Evans St. to restaurants and shops at the Morehead City waterfront or just walk across Arendell St. at crosswalk to the Carteret County Welcome Center and enjoy the sound-side boardwalk at sunset. Boat trailer parking (max trailer length 28’, ideally a skiff with single outboard, dual axle trailer max) as well for those wanting to use Morehead City Boat Ramp located just 500’ from property. Property exterior has motion sensor spotlights and generous landscape lighting for secure night time coming and going. Owner manager lives full-time nearby and is readily available for assistance of any kind.

Start the dishwasher
Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please strip all used beds of their linens/pillow cases and leave on top of each bed. Bath towels can be balled together and left on top of bathroom sink.
Kitchen garbage bag, any recycling items, should be placed in respective cans (blue: recycling, lime green: garbage) on north side of house off screened porch.
All personal food and beverage items should be removed from fridge and freezer.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Accompanying well behaved dog, 50 lbs. max, should never be left unattended inside home, or outside. Host can supply dog crate if needed.

As a high school history teacher I appreciate the unique history of Camp Glenn. NC soldiers trained on this site before deploying to the Spanish American War, the US-Mexico Border to chase Poncho Villa, and later the European theatre and WW1.
