About this property

Impressive Yurt with Wood-Burning Stove Ideal for Camping near North Bay

This is a 100-acre working farm in Powassan, Ontario dedicated to conserving some of Canada's rarest heritage livestock breeds — Lynch Lineback Cattle, Large Black Hogs, and Chantecler Chickens. This hand-built yurt sits on the property and sleeps 4 with a queen bed and sofa bed.



You're not staying near a farm. You're staying on one.

The wood-fired sauna sits beside a spring-fed pond and is the centerpiece of an evening here. Heat up, step outside, cool down under open sky, repeat. A campfire pit is set up and ready. The night skies above Powassan are genuinely dark — this is exceptional stargazing territory.



70 acres of mixed forest and pasture with trails winding through the woods and along the pond. Birdwatching, foraging, hiking, wildlife photography — the property rewards anyone who slows down and pays attention.



The yurt runs off-grid intentionally. Wood-burning stove for heat in fall and winter, BBQ for cooking, potable water, power bank for lighting and device charging. No hydro hum, no light pollution, no noise.
