Quaint 1-bedroom cottage in Livarot-Pays-d'Auge perfect for relaxing
Built in the 17th century, this half-timber house is located in the city center of Livarot, the birthplace of the wooden cheese box and Livarot cheese. Everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay in the countryside is within walking distance, including restaurants, groceries, shops, and local sights.
Accessible from Paris by train in less than 2 hours, we are located just 20 min by car from the SNCF Gare de Lisieux train station.
The coast and beach are 53 km (50 min by car) at Deauville.
The space The house is composed of two floors. On the ground floor, you enter into the kitchen and dining area. To your left, beyond the kitchen are the separate toilet/WC and the bathroom with a combination bathtub and shower. Straight ahead, beyond the kitchen is the living room with a double sleeper sofa (140x190cm), and just after are the stairs leading to the upstairs bedroom. The bedroom has two beds on opposite sides of the room. The main bed is a double bed (140x190cm) and the secondary bed is a small double (120x190cm). A foldable crib, including linens, is also available at no extra cost.
The garden includes a barbecue and outdoor dining table, an umbrella, a reclining chair, and a lounge set with sofa, two chairs, and table. There is plenty of room for kids and dogs to be able to run around and enjoy the fresh air. The garden is enclosed by fenced, and shared with a maximum of two guests in the bed & breakfast, and the two owners.
Guest access The house is accessible on foot within two minutes of either parking. You will have access to your house and the enclosed garden of the property. The garden gate is used by your house and one bed & breakfast room (2 person maximum) in the manor house. Access to the interior of the manor private for the owners and guests staying in the room, but all outdoor space, including the courtyard is available for your use.
Other things to note For your convenience, we offer the option to purchase a prepared meal for the day of your arrival. We also offer the option to purchase a small assortment of grocery essentials for your stay. Details will be provided in advance of your stay in your confirmation. Unfortunately, we can not offer these services to any last-minute bookings made within 24 hours of arrival.
