The Refugium is an idyllic holiday home (built in 2020) in a quiet, central location in Kellenhusen.
The beach (including a seasonal beach chair reserved for our guests), the forest, and shopping options are all within walking distance.
The bright and cosy Apartment 5 (80 sqm) is located on the ground floor, has a parking space right outside the door, and is accessible without steps, making it suitable for guests with limited mobility.
Two bathrooms with toilets and walk-in showers ensure maximum comfort and flexibility; in the larger bathroom, a sauna also invites you to relax.
Each of the two bedrooms features a double bed (1.80 x 2.00), plenty of storage space, blackout pleated blinds, and its own smart TV. Since we also welcome families and groups of more than four people, one of the bedrooms offers the option of three full-size sleeping spaces (see photos). Additionally, a toddler can sleep in the provided travel cot; we also have a high chair and appropriate tableware ready for our youngest guests.
The high-quality kitchen is fully equipped. In the spacious living/dining area, you can relax in the recliner or on the couch in front of the gas fireplace; there you’ll also find games, books, and a large smart TV.
There are two exits leading to the terrace, where you can enjoy privacy. Thanks to its roof, the terrace invites you to linger not only when the sun is out but also when it rains: dine in the sun, relax on a lounge chair, or enjoy barbecue evenings together using the provided electric grill.
The apartment features Wi-Fi throughout and underfloor heating; for added comfort, the central ceiling lights are dimmable.
Additional perks: a private, adjoining utility room (including a washing machine and iron), a separate lockable storage room in the adjacent building featuring a handcart and scooter, and the aforementioned seasonal beach chair as an exclusive highlight for our guests. Smoking and pets are not permitted.

If pets are allowed in this holiday rental, this applies exclusively to dogs.
Some municipalities charge a visitor’s tax. This is not included in the booking price.
For arrivals within 5 days, we accept only payments via real-time bank transfer. The tranquil Baltic Sea spa town of Kellenhusen is nestled on the Bay of Lübeck between a large forest and the Holstein Baltic Sea coast. A special feature is the impressive 305-meter-long pier, where you can even get married. Along the long sandy beach with its 2-kilometer-long promenade, you’ll find restaurants, cafés, shops, and recreational activities, among other things. Kellenhusen is connected to the Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route, parts of which run directly along the Baltic Sea. Great recreational activities: biking / forest tours / disc golf / mini-golf / archery / catamaran introductory courses / surf school / Qi Gong sessions / yoga on the beach / activities for children (e.g., children’s theatre, inclusive playground)
