About the host
Hosted by Judy Holthouse
Nestled on a 300-acre timber farm that has been in our family since 1967, this cabin sits on land that has shaped generations of family memories. Our father worked for the Forest Service and dedicated much of his life to caring for these forests, continuing to improve the health of the land and wildlife habitat long after retirement. Today, my sister and I are honored to carry on his legacy and share our childhood happy place with others. We hope you'll enjoy the beauty, peace, and sense of connection to nature that have made this property so special to our family for nearly six decades.
Why they chose this property
What do I enjoy most about our 300-acre timber farm? It's hard to choose just one thing. Every season brings something different—from wildflowers and songbirds in the spring to colorful fall foliage and fresh snow in the winter. I love that the land is always changing, yet it still feels peaceful and timeless. Whether I'm spotting deer and elk along the trails, watching the sunset over the mountains, or simply enjoying the quiet, there's always something that reminds me why this place has been so special to our family for generations.
What makes this property unique
What makes our property unique? Few places offer the opportunity to stay on 300 acres of private forest while still being just minutes from Kalispell. Guests can enjoy mountain views, wildlife sightings, and peaceful walks through the woods without ever leaving the property. It's a chance to experience Montana's natural beauty in a truly private setting.
