About this property

The Bothy : A spot by the river

Welcome to The Bothy @ Telkwa River Lodge!

Situated in a quiet environment by the Telkwa River, and only an 8 minute drive from the Bulkley, this is the perfect spot to come and enjoy all that the Bulkley Valley has to offer. Whether here for a quiet relaxing time in nature, for backcountry skiing and sledding, or for long days chasing Steelhead, this 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom spot is the perfect base.

This secondary dwelling is situated on a 10 acre, riverfront property with river access and a multitude of trails. There are 2 bedrooms, one set up as two twins and one as a King. These beds can be reconfigured if required, but please make this clear to us at the time of booking if you wish this to be changed. There is a pullout couch in the living room. We can accommodate 6 people in total.

It has a large living space and kitchen with a wood stove as the primary heat source, baseboard heat as secondary. TV is Google Chromecast only.

There is a large open deck with patio and firepit for relaxing after the day's events! There is ample parking space for boats, trailers and campers.

You have the whole house, outdoor firepit & trails to the river where there are more fire pits & fishing access. You are welcome to explore the whole property.

We have a couple of glamping tents by the river that may be booked during your stay but there is plenty to explore along the river and trails. We do ask that you give those other guests privacy as we ask them to do the same. You will likely see us around - we live in the main lodge near the river. Feel free to come and say hi!

We are pet friendly but ask that all pets are kept off the furniture. We have two dogs on the property, Lochy and Syd. Lochy is a Golden Lab who loves meeting new people and dogs. Syd is a King Charles/Mini Aussie cross and more of a lone ranger! It's important that you are ok with having dogs around as they will wander around and love meeting new people.
