About the host
Hosted by Ardyn R Wolfe
Hello! I’m Ardyn, and along with my husband, Zac, I am passionate about creating restorative spaces that blend modern luxury with deep tranquility. We’ve lived in Eugene for years and truly love the natural beauty and vibrant energy of this community.
As the founder of Zen Haus, my goal is to provide more than just a place to stay—I want to offer a sanctuary. My design philosophy is rooted in Japandi principles, combining minimalist aesthetics with warmth and functionality. Outside of hosting, I am a proud parent and mentor to our adult children, and I spend much of my time at a local yoga studio, tending to my Zen garden, or caring for our two beloved companions: Dexter, our spunky Yorkie, and Auggie, our Maine Coon mix.
We love being hosts because it allows us to share our appreciation for mindful living and high-end design with travelers from all over the world. We take great pride in the small details that make a stay feel special, and we look forward to welcoming you to our newest retreat!
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it offers the quintessential Eugene experience. Being just a mile from the University of Oregon, the area has a wonderful, vibrant energy, yet our specific pocket feels like a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle.
What we enjoy most is the 'walkability' and the connection to nature. We love that you can start your morning with a peaceful stroll through the nearby tree-lined streets or head over to the university for events, all while being just a short distance from the best local cafes and trails. It’s the perfect home base for those who want to be close to the action but appreciate coming home to a calm, residential setting at the end of the day.
What makes this property unique
What truly sets our property apart is the intentional focus on wellness and high-end design. We’ve curated this space as a 'Zen Tiny Haus'—a luxury ADU that proves small-scale living can be incredibly spacious and restorative.
The interior features a clean, Japandi aesthetic with custom slat wall paneling and minimalist finishes that create a sense of immediate calm. However, the experience extends well beyond the front door. We’ve transformed the outdoor space into a private sanctuary, featuring a traditional barrel sauna and a cedar outdoor shower—perfect for unwinding after a long day of travel or exploring Eugene.
From the tranquil landscaping with dwarf mondo grass and Japanese maples to the premium amenities inside, every detail has been chosen to help our guests reset, recharge, and enjoy a level of luxury typically found in a boutique spa retreat.
