Our host was very sweet and extremely responsive. As being their first guests in this newly constructed VRBO stay, our host made our stay a top priority. This cabin was a perfect location for our family of 4 traveling to see Glacier National Park, just 25 minutes from Avalanche Lake Trailhead on the west side of Glacier. The cabin and hot tub was clean and just what we needed after a long days hike in the mountains. It may feel tight with a family of four for some, but we didn’t mind it. Our family enjoyed visiting the local thrift stores in town, seeing the Hungry Horse Dam which was around the mountain from the cabin, but the view was one of our favorite parts. This stay had the comfort, privacy, quick accessibility’s, and adventure all packaged into an affordable price. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back again!

As a couple, the Bear View cabin satisfied almost all of our needs during our 2 night stay right after Labor Day. Given that our stay was only 2 nights, we didn't have a chance to take advantage of all of the amenities. We did enjoy the hot tub both evenings but did not have an opportunity to use the fire pit (firewood was provided free of charge), the grill or have time to sit on the patio and enjoy the peace and quiet. This would be a great place for a small family or 2 couples to stay; as long as you have people who are okay sleeping on a sofa bed. The only minor complaint we have relates to these instructions from the host: "During the summer, the thermostats are set for cooling only. Please do not adjust them, as the in-floor cooling system works slowly and is set to keep the building comfortable throughout the day. If you need extra warmth at night, please use the fireplace and the cadet heaters in the bedrooms." Our problem with this was that the thermostats were set to 64 degrees and my wife is always, always, always cold. Being told not to adjust the thermostat meant that we had to have the fireplace and the cadet heaters on at all times while we were there, not just at night, in order for the temperature to be at an acceptable level for my wife. This is the only minor complaint we have. Bottom line - nice location, great amenities, timely host communication, a tad pricey but not overly so given the pricing of other rentals, We would definitely stay here again.

I’m so sorry—this was a complete misunderstanding. That message was intended for another unit, and I honestly don’t know how it was accidentally sent to you. I feel terrible about the confusion. I just wish you had reached out to me directly when you were having an issue during your stay. I’m always available and would have been happy to help resolve it right away rather than finding out afterward through the review. I put my heart into this property and invested a great deal to make sure every guest is comfortable. I would never knowingly allow a guest to be uncomfortable. Regarding the temperature, the unit has a mini-split heat pump system that allows you to set the temperature to your preference. There are also additional wall heaters and a fireplace for extra heat during extremely cold winter days and as a back up. Again, I sincerely apologize for the message being sent to you by mistake. I appreciate you staying with us, and I hope this helps clear up the misunderstanding.
