The space
• Three air-conditioned, en-suite bedrooms
• Spacious open-plan living area with elevated ceilings
• Enclosed patio leading to an outdoor deck with infinity-edge pool
• Outdoor braai and fire bowl
• Lock-up garage for added security
• Proximity to local amenities and attractions

There are several attractions and things to do in and around Marloth Park as well as further afield for those on a longer break.

On the property:
There is the pool and deck for lazy days where you can watch the game that wander through the garden. A Weber braai for barbecue’ing and fire pit for evening ambience and fire side chats is provided. There is an enclosed/indoor patio to retreat to with a book if quiet time or self-reflection is wanted or just a respite from the heat. Closing the shutters has a big impact on keeping the heat at bay! For rainy days or evenings there are games to entertain - Jenga, Boggle and UNO.

Within Marloth Park:
You can take long or short walks (or run if you’re one of those people!) along the many roads between the hours of 6am and 6pm (please no walking after dark). A favourite is to navigate down to Seekoie Road that runs along the meeting of Marloth Park with Kruger Park and follows the Crocodile River. There are many view sites and residents are often treated to fantastic sightings. There is also the option of bike hire (contact me for details).

The Atlantis Water Park is situated in the Bush Centre, 1km from the house. There is also a putt-putt course (miniature golf). There are two small local shopping centres and several restaurants and pubs throughout Marloth Park. A useful contact is Marloth Park Tourist Information located on Olifants Drive where you can find out any local events or happenings.
For those looking to spoil themselves The Grand Kruger Lodge and Spa is located 150m from the property along the same road.

Close at hand (within 30 min drive):
The main attraction in my opinion has to be the Kruger National Park. This is where we spend most of our break time. There are 2 gate entrances easily accessible from the property - Crocodile Bridge close to the town of Komatipoort or Malelane Gate. Game drives can be booked with SANParks or other local operators but we’ve had our best sightings and experiences simply doing self-drives. There are guidebooks left on the property (please leave for other guests) for you to plan routes and gate entry forms for a smoother entry. These can also be obtained or purchased at the gates. I advise planning and preparation the night before and leaving as early as you can to catch the spectacular sunrise - the best viewing is normally early! This is when animal activity tends to be busiest. A full days trip up the H10 to Tshokwane for lunch is worth the early start. Or take an afternoon sunset drive. Take note of the gate entry and closing times.
The town of Komatipoort is the closest town and has a great Spar that does food deliveries Monday to Friday. The town borders on Mozambique and also has its share of restaurants and take-aways. Try Tamborina for seafood.
On Saturdays the Kambaku Golf Club host a Vitality ParkRun event. For an alternative adventure, contact Komati Archery.

Further out (1-2 hours drive):
For adventures further afield, the Lowveld National Gardens in Nelspruit is an hours drive. They serve breakfast and lunch and the gardens are worth a walk through.
The arty town of Kaapschehoop (2 hours drive) offers quaint shops, pubs and restaurants. There is bouldering for the more adventurous and a short hike to the spectacular 30m Battery Creek waterfall.
The oldest known cave system, the Sudwala caves are also a 2-hours drive away. These incredible caves are worth a visit. There is also a zipline for thrill seekers and a garden to explore for those wanting quieter contemplation.
