About this property

Storybook 1930's Cabin, walk to lake and village, forest views

Welcome to The Knotty Pine — a historic 1930s cabin tucked away on a private ½-acre wooded lot in one of the most heavily forested areas of Lake Arrowhead, yet still walking distance to the village, lake, and brewery. Nestled among towering pines and cedars, this one-of-a-kind retreat blends vintage charm with modern comfort. With nearly level entry and two-car level parking, arrivals are simple year-round.
Step inside to a warm knotty pine interior where it's easy to leave the hustle and bustle behind. The fully stocked kitchen features a pristine vintage O'Keefe & Merritt stove, French doors leading to the deck, and thoughtful extras like organic spices, freshly ground coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Share meals around the indoor dining table or carry them outside for al fresco dining beneath the trees.
The deck is a true highlight — a fire pit, BBQ, dining table, and café lights make for magical evenings under the stars. A secure gate keeps kids and dogs safely nearby while you take in the forest views and fresh mountain air.
After dinner, settle into the living room complete with books, games, a wood-burning fireplace, smart TV, and a record player with a curated vinyl collection. On the main floor you'll find a full bath plus a private bedroom with en-suite bath, smart TV, laundry area, and cozy electric fireplace. Both bathrooms are stocked with all-natural Public Goods bath products. Upstairs, two charming A-frame bedrooms — one with a queen bed and one with two twins — provide restful retreats, along with a convenient half bath.
Set on one of the largest lots in Arrowhead Woods, the property feels like your own mountain hideaway. Nap in the hammock, watch wildlife from the deck, or sled right in the yard when it snows. Guests also enjoy access to the private lake and nearby trails — perfect for exploring the beauty of the mountains.
Just 3 miles to SkyPark at Santa's Village, 15 minutes to Lake Gregory, and 25 minutes to Snow Valley ski resort — the perfect base for all seasons.
Families are well taken care of with a portable crib, high chair, baby gate, and kid-friendly dinnerware. Dog lovers are welcome too — we provide an orthopedic dog bed, bowls, treats, and waste bags so your pup feels right at home.

Welcome to The Knotty Pine Cabin or as we call it
"Grandma's house". My grandmother, Willa Jean,
bought the cabin in 1953 and owned it until she died in
2008. She was the second owner. The original owner
back in 1931 was a Scandinavian artist. She painted the
murals you can find throughout the cabin.
Unfortunately, after my grandmother died, my mom
sold the cabin. We missed it desperately through the
years so when it finally came on the market in 2022 we
bought it back! It is a dream come true to have this
magical place back in our lives. We are excited to
share it with you and hope you have as much fun here
as we do.
