We have been to Pigeon Forge 2 years in a row for our summer trip and this house was amazing!!!! Both fireplace and firepit had gas ready to go, the pool table and hot tub were all huge pluses for us as well, 10/10. The views were also spectacular and close to everything we needed; from Krogers (groceries) to River Rat (tubing and rafting), to The Island which has alot of food and shopping and kid and adult activities. We were dead smack in the middle of all of our itineraries. One of the coolest part was we saw bears at this cabin. Literally 1st day within the hr, lol. And also most important for us was the host. They were so friendly and prompt with any questions. This location is 10/10.

The house needed alot of work. The nails had backed out of the deck boards, and the heads were sticking out of the deck boards at a unsafe height. The deck system were un safe. I built log homes for 40 years. And this was not good. There was a couple shorts in the electrical system. With the lights. The AC unite needed to be changed

Thank you for your review and for staying at our cabin. I want to take a moment to respond to the concerns you mentioned. First, regarding the deck boards and nails, we will be looking at every nail across all three levels of the deck to make sure there are no nails backing out or protruding at an unsafe height. I personally walk across the decks without shoes frequently and have never experienced an issue, but we will absolutely inspect them to make sure everything is secure and safe for our guests. I also want to address the statement that the deck system is unsafe. Part of the approval process for short-term rentals in Sevier County includes an inspection of the property, including the decks. Our cabin passed the required inspection and we maintain a proper short-term rental license. We take the safety of our guests very seriously and would not allow an unsafe deck system. Regarding the electrical concerns, there is one interior light that is currently not working well. We are already aware of this issue and have a date scheduled to have it replaced. Because of the height of the light, we have had to rent scaffolding in order for the repair to be completed safely. Lastly, regarding the statement that the AC unit needed to be replaced, this is not accurate. We are able to monitor the thermostat remotely, and during your stay, including during the record-high summer temperatures, the indoor temperature did not go above 74 degrees. Thank you again for bringing your concerns to our attention. We will always take guest feedback seriously and investigate anything that could affect the safety or comfort of our guests.
